We stayed at this hotel for a week 11th to 18 October on the all-inclusive package. The last time I went on an all-inclusive holiday was back in 1996 and it was a nightmare. What you had for dinner was your warmed up lunch the next day so I did not really know what to expect and was a little bit apprehensive. The food however in our opinion was outstanding and even the most fussy eater would not go hungry lots of selection everything fresh you could see into the kitchen where meals were being prepared. Just make sure you leave room for your desert. The hotel restaurant was run like clockwork very clean welcoming and the staff were outstanding.
We had a room on the on the first floor which overlooked the pool and gardens and you could just about see the sea. Our room was spacious the decor very modern and we were equipped with a TV,fridge, kettle and there is a hairdryer in the bathroom we had a few issues with the safe however a quick call to reception and it was sorted. There was also a sofa in our room which doubled up as a foldaway bed. Bedlinen and towels were changed regularly and I cannot state how comfortable the bed was. It's a divan bed with a really thick mattress and the pillows were just so fluffy and comfortable.
The hotel is just a short walk away from its own private beach you can ask for a ticket at reception for the sunbeds and parasols. The hotel will also provide you with beach/pool towels but there is a small charge if you want to change them during your stay. The beach is clean and not overcrowded and is combed over every evening/morning. There is also a lifeguard on the beach and he will also come and brush off your sunbeds and put up your parasol for you when you arrive.
The hotel is located about 15 minutes from the main square in Marina Di Ragusa and is situated in what I would describe as a residential area. It was very quiet and not many shops open but this was due to the late season and I can imagine that in the high season it would be extremely busy. We did however go on 2 trips organised by Thomas Cook and were really impressed. They are a little expensive but well worth it. We went to Mount Etna and Taormina and Syracuse. The tour guides were very knowledgeable, friendly and speak English. It is well worth getting out on a trip as then you experience the true Sicily.
Thomas Cook rate this as a 4star hotel yet the hotels official website rates it as a 3star it is definitely heading in the right direction although there are a couple of things that could be improved on such as the check-in time as you have to wait for your room but we were on an early flight from Birmingham and the Thomas Cook rep, Angie promised to have everyone checked in by 1 PM and she delivered on that promise. Angie actually lived in the hotel she was always on hand if there was a problem or question.
Finally we would like to thank the management and all the staff particularly Gianni Who remembered everybody's drink when they went up to the bar, Vanessa who always asked about out day, Maria the lovely receptionist for whom nothing was a problem and Raimondo who was always busy in the restaurant yet always had a moment for everyone.
We would definitely recommend this hotel and couldn't find any fault with it at all. Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.
