We stayed at this beautiful ryokan in February 2016 with our 2 six year olds. We stayed in the standard Japanese room. Space was a little tight with all futons out but was great fun camping out together. We also found we did not spend that much time in the room as we were skiing. The onsens were lovely and there is a private one you can book for the family. The staff are all gorgeous and can not be more helpful. Most staff speak good English (certainly far better than my Japanese!). The position itself is great, close to the bus station. Although they will probably pick you up from the train or bus station when you arrive. You can walk to the Happo one ski slope I think, but it is a short walk to a bus to various other ski slopes. We can not wait to visit again!
