We stayed in a serviced 2 bedroom apartment. I had requested a nice room when booking as it was a suprise for my daughters birthday. The room had a great view overlooking the river and the city skyline. The rooms are a little aged, and the finer details are skipped over a little (leaky toilet, no plug for the bath etc) but the staff we came across were extremely helpful and friendly. The grounds are lovely and we were lucky enough with the weather to get a couple of hours by the pool. A great spot for the family. We would come back :)

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a river view

We booked the 2bedroom river apartments as we were bringing 2 teenage girls for a weekend away... the room we nice , some carpet stains and damaged walls. Not very self catering ( which it should be) and with no restaurant on site it has to be better set up. The view perfect and grounds... but the pool was an issue with a huge private party on one day so the girls being only 13 felt very intimidated especially as people were drinking in the pool they were very loud so we actually drove to the beach as it was extremely hot - the party ended when the pool shut in the evening so girls didn’t use again very annoyed as that is the reason we stayed here and for the amount charged we should’ve been able to enjoy the full facilities. Will not return nor recommend due to these issues as they are not exclusive to us after reading other reviews.

Hi Angela,
We are very disappointed by your comments with your stay being below our usual service standards. We are terribly sorry that you felt you couldn't use our pool facilities due to other groups being in the complex. We don't and cant offer exclusive access to any guests at any time, and the facility is quite large. It is a shame the girls felt intimidated, but I understand your situation. At any other time there may have been plenty of people and families using these facilities from sunrise to sunset as the pool opening hours are. I thank you for the time taken to offer your feedback, and encourage you to contact us to discuss any further facilities you may require with self catering in addition to our fully equipped kitchens and laundries.

Aside from the lovely river view, I would not recommend staying unless you have no other option. There is no cooling in the bedroom, only a small reverse cycle above the balcony door. This makes sleeping very unpleasant in the summer months. Upon booking we requested a porta cot for our son, were given a total to pay including the porta cot, we then paid no issues. At check in we were required to pay a $200 security fee, that’s fine and understandable. The issue arose at check out when we were charged $115 for the porta cot. This was not mentioned when booking or at check in. If we had known we would have just bought one from Kmart and saved ourselves a lot of money. If you’re going to charge someone for something make sure they know before they don’t have a choice but to pay. False advertising!

HI Tara, sorry we have taken so long to reply. I have thoroughly investigated your review, but cannot find your details- not any charges for such an odd amount. Assured Ascot Quays offer FREE cots and highchairs to all guests, subject to availability. Is it possible this was a different hotel? please contact us directly to discuss this further 9479 0000
