Hely couldn't have been more helpful when we stayed at his beautiful home for two nights. He explained about transport options to Dieng & Borobodur, local food & places to eat. Also agreed to hold room for us when our flight arrived very late. To top it all, he's a pleasure to chat with.
Often home stay are basic, so the stylish room, good hot shower & comfortable beds surpassed our expectations.
As happens everywhere weve slept in Indonesian you will be woken at dawn by the call to prayer. Here it was a relatively short broadcast, so we could get back to enjoying the sounds of rustling trees from the lovely garden outside the room.
One tip - our taxi driver didn't know how to find the home stay, as the sign outside entrance is quite discrete. If arriving after sunset, as we did, perhaps Google Map the address & give name of the mosque alongside to your driver, and that might help make your arrival smootherMore
