We stayed here 1 night to visite Bromo. The hotel looks great on the pictures but I have never experienced a room with so much moist. I am used to sleeping in basic hotels, but couldn't sleep all night due to the moist in this room and the big light outside which lightens the hole room at night. Restaurant has ok food but personell is pretty cranky.

Modern-traditional room of medium rate hotel. Our family was very happy to stay one night at this hotel as part of Bromo sunrise tour. We're very lucky to be able to see the the gorgeous sunrise. Thanks to lava view that served us very well.

Honestly a lot of people are crying over nothing about this hotel. Sure if you expect a very nice hotel it will be dissapointing, but they do the best they can in this environment. (Okay okay, they could get those elektronic heaters in the room to make it a little more pleasant, but they don't even use them theirselves standing in the restaurant and reception all day).

The place is behind the main gate so you pay entrance fee of 220k for weekdays. I think weekends are even more expensive. There is not really a way around this. We booked the hotel through a travel agent: travel inn (dutch guy) and payed 34 euros for 2 pax. The hotel was actually quite good.
Okay it is cold and a little damp, but the beds were nice and clean and the food is good (breakfast included). Breakfast has fresh fruit, choice of rice or mie and a live cooked egg any way you want. Juice and the/coffee also provided.

The staff is super kind. Always a smile. The reception lady even adviced against going for the sunrise tour everyone goes on. It is a total waste of your energy and money in rainy season. You will only see mist. We were so thankfull. She also adviced us to walk and not get the jeep. Which was also a good advice. We didn't pay more than entrance and didn't get up at 3am for nothing. Wow so kind, this actually meant the hotel didn't get our money for jeeps, so how honest!

The view is the best in town! All the other hotels do not have a view. Definately worth staying here. Sure you will be a bit cold, but it is the only way you will get the most out of this once in a lifetime experience!

They rent jackets for 20k at the reception. Please take one, it is to cold without it!

Picture of the view below, enjoy!

The hotel is situated to the nearest of the mount abouy 1 hr drive . The hotel comprises of basic stuff but there is room for improvement..

Cons...moreover there are a bit money mindes than customer service.tried to book tour with other company can get cheaper.
As it is very near ..it is pratically impossible to get public transport so on the end u have to take the hotel transport which is expensive

Pros... the breakfast was nice and tasty and the beds were comfy enough for few houes

Granted: our experience in Gunung Bromo was an unlucky one. Rain, fog... we never saw the magical landscape other travelers describe (or the pictures we have seen everywhere), and this probably influenced our appreciation of the hotel. If we had been rewarded with magnificent views, we probably wouldn't have cared much about the hotel. But because the weather was bad when we arrived around 4pm in the afternoon, and was also bad throughout the following day, we got to spend more time than expected in the hotel. The rooms have probably never been renovated since the hotel was opened. Everything is humid. The bathrooms are particularly uninviting. The restaurant is OK and serves decent food - and it is a nicer place to spend a couple of hours in a dry and warm environment than the rooms. So expect just that: a place to sleep. No charm or anything to make you feel better. Just get there to sleep and hope you get good weather in the morning!

Room tip: Don't pay more for a "bungalow" than for a standard room, they are just as gloomy and sad.
