We stayed at Avalon Lodge for 5 nights. The owners know exactly what visitors want !
We were made very welcome with tea and biscuits.
Breakfast was first class in choice and quality.
Everything is absolutely first class and all those little extras are provided.
The rooms are tastefully decorated and of superb quality.
You will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: They are all beautiful !

Thank you Lesley, you are too kind but we appreciate your comments and that you have taken the time to leave such a positive review, which is much appreciated.
It is great when we have guests who stay for a few nights as they can then not only enjoy what we provide but also make the most of what the area has to offer.
We are spoilt with attractions and like to spoil our guests.
Thank you again,
Jenny & Nick

Jenny and Nick are amazing hosts who really care about their guests.
Our room was very nice and had a balcony with views over the garden and the nearby fields. All you need is in the room - hair dryer, toiletries, coffee and tea facilities and if you want more there are lots of soft drinks and wine or beer.
We loved our stay there and already booked another....

Thanks Kamila,
It was lovely meeting you both and as we know you are busy people we do appreciate you taking the time out to leave a great review. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and are coming back. With the better weather the garden is beginning to blossom slowly but surely, however, still not got a date for the donkeys but maybe by the time you come again.
All the best,
Jenny & Nick

We stayed for 2 nights at this B & B &, as we are a family of 5 (children aged 11 & 13 year old twins), we had 2 rooms - 1 family & the other one a double which was right next door to us - the girls had this & loved their little bit of independence! The family room had a private additional room attached with a sliding door, which was great for our 13 year old son - he loved it! There is plenty of hot water & toiletries & lots more besides. The girls loved the four poster bed in the "Tranquility" room, & their balcony. The B & B is very clean & the hosts very accommodating, going out of their way to provide us with anything we needed e.g. for providing a delicious vegan breakfast for our teenage daughter. We had use of the lounge & dining area to have a takeaway in comfort with plates, cutlery, condiments etc. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending this as a place to stay for anyone. (Just missed out on the arrival of the rescue donkeys, which Nick says they hope to get soon).

Thank you Nicola, it was a pleasure to meet your family and we are pleased that you enjoyed your stay. Glad the single room attached to Harmony was so useful and we do have a lot of families who appreciate the fact that they can share a rom but still have some privacy! Pity that the donkeys have not yet arrived to join the ducks and hens but will send photos when they do :-)

We would highly recommend this property. Nick and Jenny were the perfect hosts! They made our stay comfortable and memorable. Taking time to help us with our sightseeing planning everyday which was extremely helpful! Breakfasts were delicious and in a nutshell it was home away from that is how wonderful our stay was.
We had the most dreadful weather but that did not prevent us from all the sights which were closeby. Lacock, Avebury, Motor Museum, Wadworth Brewery tour, Castle Comb and of course the Locks. Eating in Devizes was good but one does need to make reservations.
Thanks again for a wonderful stay Nick and Jenny :-)

Hi Marlene,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and we are delighted that you enjoyed your stay despite the abysmal weather we had this spring. There are lots of attractions and places to escape even when the weather's not good and thankfully a good selction of places to eat.
We do appreciate your comments and will continue to try and make Avalon Lodge a "home away from home",
Jenny & Nick

From the time we arrived, to meet Nick, who almost immediately offered us tea & biscuits(good biscuits too), to the day we left, he & Jenny were excellent hosts, breakfasts were delicious, rooms were well decorated, with a lovely big, comfortable brass bed, with an impressive en-suite bathroom( huge shower cubicle).
They go out of their way to ensure their guests have a pleasant stay. They provide a better service than some 4* hotels I've been in. A recommended stay in Wiltshire!

Room Tip: The corner room has an impressive en-suite bathroom.

Thank you for your comments, which are much appreciated. We are lucky that we are so well placed for visiting all the delights and mysteries (of which there are many) of Wiltshire, not to mention being so close to Bath and Bristol. If we could guarantee the sunshine it would be bliss!
Glad you enjoyed your time here and it would be lovely to see you again in the future,
Warmest regards, Jenny & Nick
