The JUFA Hotel Altaussee is clean, the staff is quite nice (though not strong on English), and offer laundry services for less than 6 EUR. Now, about the location: you have to drive through Altaussee, then exit the village, drive through the forest, and then you arrive after you see a bunch of deers and foxes. It's located next to the salt mine. You HAVE to climb up the stairs in order to enter the lobby and the hotel in general!

Room tip: Ask for a room not near the smoking area.

We were here only one night, but very satisfied. Great view to Loser mountain, where you can also drive along the mountain road. The hotel is clean, beds comfortable and personality friendly. Breakfast offers enough variety of dishes (excellent bread). Wi-fi is not accessible in rooms.
All Dachstein mountains area is beautiful and worth a visit.

We stopped in this place for 3 days during our family holiday. The food, accommodation, staff, .. everything was at a high level. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful scenery and views of the mountains.

Room tip: With all the room you choose you will be happy

The setting for this property is outstanding. Lovely mountain views all around and some attempt has been made in the common rooms to take advantage of the view. also it is within feet of the entrance to the salzwelten which was the reason for my visit. The rooms are adequate and fairly well maintained except that if they insist on having the soap dispensers they should fill them, and I guess you can't expect the staff to open the double windows and clean out the cobwebs. One lady on the reception desk staff was welcoming, friendly, and efficient, the others were sullen and rude. Breakfast offered was certainly adequate. Rudeness somewhat lessens what should have been a great experience.

JUFA stays in the mountains, aside the village so its absolutely calm, with wonderful views. There is sauna, indoor football pit, wifi and its dogs friendly. Rooms are clean. I would come back. The lake is few minutes by car so no problem to get there for a short trip.

Room tip: Rooms 226, 227 and 228 have view on the mountains. The rest not and you watch the building across
