This family owned minshuku is situated next to the lake so it is nice to walk around it. It is really quiet and in spite of what an opinion is saying here, there is air conditioning in the room so it was warm enough. The breakfast was really nice too.

We went there in November and it was ridiculously cold inside of the rooms. The place is very old and to the best of our knowledge has no heaters in the rooms. The blankets were small and did not provide enough heat. Easy to catch a cold there in autumn/winter. The views are great thus it is possible that this would be a better choice for summer.

This ryokan is situated directly at the lake and most of the rooms offer a nice view. The rooms are simple japanese-style rooms, en par with the price. The couple who run it seem friendly and helpful.

That all being said, this house is in need of some make over. Everything is old, but Not the in the old-but-well-kept way. Also blankets and mattresses are in dire need of washing. The onsen is little more than two or three water taps and a small granite Pool. Worst: the gas heating for the onsen bellows every 15 to 30 minutes quite noisely, which can wake you up at night very easily

I really liked this place, it is a traditional style ryokan run by a lovely japanese lady who will do everything she can to make your visit comfortable. The views of the lake are gorgeous.

In saying this though, English is very limited here (although you'll be fine to book in and pay), so if this is your first stay at a ryokan and you're not sure how it all works, maybe think twice.

The only bathing facilities available are the male and female onsens, which were lovely (very relaxing), and instructions are included in the room, but if you're not comfortable with bathing in front of others, this may not be the place for you.

The ryokan also runs a shuttle up to the station at 8.45 and 9.45 am.

This ryokan is attached with Kawaguchi Lake.
It's a bit far from Kawaguchiko station. 2 km approximately. The ryokan provided free shuttle bus from/to the station.

All room in the ryokan is Japanese style. You can enjoy the Japanese Traditional room. There is tea set in the room.
The toilet and bathroom is public. The public bathroom is quite small.
There is the free wifi in the lobby.

The ryokan's staff can speak English a little. But she is very kind and polite. The breakfast is provided upon your request. It's Japanese breakfast style.
