I received a ConnexService.com voucher from my company for 2 hotel nights for 2 persons. After some search on their web site my wife and I (we are 50+) found Hotel Hochzillertal which is located in the beautiful mountain region Zillertal in Austria offering various recreational possibilities.
We don't travel very often, but we have made some experiences in various hotels of various categories during the years. This long weekend turned out to be one of our best hotel stays.
In general the hotel had a relaxed atmosphere with polite personnel (we were there mid September 2020, under relatively relaxed Corona virus regulations).
The double room we had was not huge, but fine for the category, and the cleanliness was absolutely perfect in every corner and edge, which was a huge plus for us. The double bed was comfortable and a hotel specialty is to offer herbal pillows for testing (this was free, at least for us, but the pillows must be ordered before 15:00, so we couldn't have them on the first night). They were so nice, that we even decided to buy a few upon departure.
The breakfast buffet was rich and the service was polite and offered special help considering our food intolerance (milk protein). One evening I could also test the Vitality Center with various sauna / steam bath and relax facilities. It was also very nice (unfortunately the opening hours, 15:00-19:00 were a bit limited for me).
Last, but not least, the owner provided excellent guidance regarding trekking routes in the region.
