The apartments are nice, the pool for swimming laps fantastic and not many people where here, some locals use the pool for swimming lessons which is perfect as they are usually there early in the morning. Great care taker very nice and helpful although you need you speak Spanish to get information and you need car to get out and around in Atenas, the centre is about a 30 min walk, with a very steep hill down and then up you go in 28 degrees plus weather and all the traffic its not enjoyable for sure. Traffic noise starts at about 6 am and does not stop until about 11 pm at night all day long. Behind the apartment block there is some outdoor school where teens sometimes party and speak extra loud and rowdy and have discussion until late night. Said that take an apartment on the top floor ( the view is really what make the stairs worthwhile. This little 'resort' has also cabanas, no cleaning service no changing of towels or bedding, you can do you own laundry. But it's not run like a resort there is nothing going on beside hanging at the pool, no pool chairs no lounge chairs no umbrellas no towel service, it has seen it's golden days, needs more attention all-over it's falling a bit apart, sad to see otherwise it would be really nice to come back again. We found really other great spots to rent longer term for our next visit to Atenas. The gym you do not want to use as the equipment is old and rusty and it's not ready to go not cleaned up. The Jacuzzi tub was running once while we are here so to use the slide you have to pour water down by yourself. the bar at the pool is not served and is not 'open'. The only things is that there are not many visitors here so you have no noise from the guests only from the road and the neighbours.More
