Truly a garden paradise,from the beautiful tropical gardens to the delicious breakfast prepared for us every morning. Ernesto is an amazing host. He helped us with transportation and anything else we needed. We stayed a week in “monkey room”. Will definitely return.

Spacious rooms, great terrace, gorgeous property, nicely equipped kitchen, coffee maker & coffee, good shower, fabulous breakfast, helpful manager recommended great restaurants and activities. I would definitely stay there again!
I want to thank the wonderful staff for taking care of me and for an adventurous first experience in Costa Rica. I laid back in the hammock on the El Rancho and felt at peace with the nature surrounding me. I will definitely be returning for another trip.
I decided to visit my dear friend Ernesto at his new hideaway at “Eden Atenas.”
When you visit, I highly recommend selecting the Cabin. Plenty of windows for ventilation and ceiling fan.
More importantly, this room has total privacy surrounded by trees with a slight walk away from the other rooms.
Breakfast was excellent with each day an added chef’s surprise which as promised to be different and better than before.
Excellent coffee and top personal service provided by Ernesto as always.
This was a two night stay and the pool was refreshing and cool and enjoyed very much.
Ernesto quickly becomes your next best Costa Rican friend that you want to see and visit often.
Celebrating thirty years of marriage, Tina and I traveled from our home in Playa del Coco to see more of Costa Rica, We stayed three nights here in Eden and it was amazing. Ernesto went out of his way to make us feel comfortable and safe in this amazing tropical garden, surrounded by jungle. The breakfast that Enid made for us each morning, was the so authentic, fresh and delicious. After forty two years I am now retired from the hotel and restaurant industry and I do not hand out complements easily. Enid is truly a Chef of Central American Breakfast and a very good one. Stay here and wake up to birds singing and the best breakfast in Costa Rica.

Our time at Eden Atenas was absolutely transcendent. We were greeted at the gate by Sarah and 2 delightful dogs, Max and Lily, and were immediately made to feel at home. The property is beautiful, with a richly landscaped garden filled with flowers, trees, hummingbirds and butterflies--it is so beautiful, in fact, that we would have felt our visit to be complete without ever leaving the property! Between the lovely tranquility of the gardens, the perfect pool and the amazing food, we had everything we needed.
I can't say enough nice things about Sarah and Enid. They treated us like family. The breakfasts they made for us were creative, sublime, and huge! I am gluten-free, and Sarah made a special trip into town for gluten-free flour so I could have the same meals as the other guests. And on our last morning she and Enid made us 2 breakfasts--incredible eggs Benedict and the traditional Gallo pinto. Sarah made reservations for us at area attractions and Enid helped me with my Spanish.
We sincerely hope that the recent change in the ownership of this unique, amazing place will not result in changes that could diminish our experience when we return in January, 2022. We are so looking forward to spending more time there and with being reunited with Sarah, Enid, Max, and Lily.
