A free of charge must visit if your near here. Fabulously adorned. Everywhere you look you'll just be in awe. Don't miss this.

A visit to the Big Buddha is usually included in the many round-island tours on offer on Koh Samui. It is certainly worth a visit. The golden statue, sitting in perfect calmness, is indeed big, although once one has looked at it from a few angles one is ready to check out the market stalls nearby.

Best get a taxi there. Journey to the temple is interesting as the taxi drove past local houses and we get a peep of view on the other side of the island. Beautiful scenery.
p/s: get the taxi to wait for you as there isn't much taxi to get back
pss: cover up, otherwise you can always rent (free of charge) a scarf at the entrance.

Worth a stop . Be prepared to cover up as this is a shrine. Complementary robes are provided which is very thoughtful.
