If you are staying the the Bo Phut area it will cost you about 800Bht return in a taxi and two hours of your life to visit the Big Buddha Temple. It’s worth seeing and whilst it isn’t the most impressive temple I have seen (by a long way) it would have been a shame to have missed it. Our highlight was a family blessing from the resident monk! He was really cool.

Not as large as the Phuket or Thimpu Buddha statues, but as wonderful and peaceful. Worth the visit.

It’s a 2 hour walk around the temple so keep that much time aside to see all parts of it. Can get pretty crowded.
