We had a great trip in Italy. Hotel owners were very generous with their guests. The hotel is located in a very beautiful tourist area. Food, drink and location are great, and the price is very good for a region so beautiful. Our experience was even better as we have decided to get married here. I noticed that Vito and Elisabeta, hotel owners are very friendly to their guests. With us it was a greater experience because we got married in their city, and Vito and Elizabeth kindly agreed to witness our marriage. Vito helped us with specific guidance to all those who could help us. And people in general were very generous. I had no idea that all people, from mayor to all those who worked in the town hall to be so close with tourists. They helped us so much, especially as we could not talk in Italian, being English and Romanian speakers only.
In short I highly recommend everyone who wants to feel good, enjoy a warm vacation to go to Hotel Ristorante Margherita in Montepiano, Vernio, Tuscany.

Although there were three generations all working together to provide a fantastic experience, the guy on the desk was a real life saver. On a long distance walk on the GEA in October we were struggling to find anywhere to stay the next night. The grandson (I think he was the manager)sorted out all the options and then spent a good 45 minutes ringing round to find one which was open (I don't speak Italian so an essential service). As well as being a star on the phone he turned up later in the evening to serve up a wonderful dinner and then shot across the road first thing in the morning to secure the essential panini for lunch next day. Nice clean hotel and great value.

Family run, exquisite food!, beautiful room with view of hills. We stopped by chance and had an authentic Tuscan holiday experience. This is a great example of why you should get off the typical tourist track. Owners told us the town was also the location for a recent Italian movie! The food is amazing and all home made.
