Fisrtly, the hotel was not where it was supposed to be, miles from Scarlino.
The "beach on the doorstep" was 3 kilometers away, and the sea dead and smelly, so bathing was out!
The food delivered to our table was inedible. (sent it back and ate in lousy restaurants therafter.)
The "village" was 50 meters away with one presentable restaurant and one full of drunks, the better of the two had 3rd rate lousy food,
This was in Tuscana, where w found ONE wine farm still in production, with super unfreindly people, the wine was, amaizingly, ok.
The roads surrounding the area were terrible, all the way back to Palma, and civilization.
Here we found supperb restaurants, wine and hotels with great foo and staff.
