Lovely restaurant very loud buzzy and busy ! Beautifully decorated looks really fresh not to sure about the guys uniforms though ( like a petrol pump attendant!) . The only thing I really disliked was being so close to the next table being only 2 of us crammed in . I could hear their conversations and I am sure they could hear ours and as i mentioned it was loud in there. Food was excellent.

We just returned from our second stay at the Lone Star and it was just as perfect as we remembered. It setting is idyllic and the service is some of the best I've gotten on a Caribbean Island. The hotel restaurant is large but there are very few rooms so there is always someone to help you right away with everything you need and everyone working there is extremely friendly and happy. The food is excellent and there isn't a table in the restaurant with a bad view. We booked again on the spot for next year already. It is a magical, beautiful and special spot.

Always loved the Lonestar but over the last few years it had failed to live up to its reputation as one of the best restaurants on the West Coast. As much as we all loved the place we became frustrated at the problems in recent visits. But tonight was just perfect....faultless!
Ambiance was fantastic in both bar and restaurant and the service was outstanding. All three of us had gorgeous food- hot/tasty and beautifully presented.
Roy has got the place running like clockwork and our "old favourite" restaurant is back to its best!!!

We were saying on the sandy lane estate but decided to take a trip out for breakfast one morning and stumbled on the Loan Star

The restaurant is right on the beach and we were shown to a table on the terrace that is literally on the beach and yards from the ocean

Unfortunately we were bothered by a few flies but a quick word with our waiter got us moved into the main restaurant area which was thankfully clear of them

The choice of breakfast, service and the location were all fantastic - we will be back again

After I spent three days here with family & friends, I came home and spent a week researching all the Caribbean Islands for a place like this to relax and trust me, you won't find anything even close.

Why is this place so special?
Small hotel with 6+ rooms. You get your personal butler, room bar is very generously loaded with soft drinks, snacks, lot of Italian Spring water, and even beer and spirits. We didn't touch spirits but consumed everything else and they were filled each day and sometimes couple of times and no charges. Included breakfast includes unlimited choices from menu. Amazing coffee in the room. Room furniture and outdoor balcony settings uses eye pleasing modern high quality furniture and sheets.

You are feet away from water and your lounge chairs are set in complete shade. You have outdoor shower and faucet to rinse off your sandy feet. Your butlet is constantly filling your water jug and checking on your needs while you are relaxing on the beach. We ordered lot of food there and it was all very delicious and not the cheesy oily beach food you get elsewhere.

The beach itself is probably the best it can be anywhere. Crystal clear calm water, easy and good shore snorkeling and you even see turtles. Lot of boat tours come here to show turtles. Also, couple of motor boat tours drop by to check if you are interested.

Our kids and friends all had time of our life on this beach. I never think of going to same location again. But, this place deserves many visits and to me, it beat my previous best beach destinations like Tulum and West side beach at Roatan.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms on the right side while facing the beach
