We stayed for 11 nights at the beginning of February and had an absolutely fantastic time. We upgraded to an ocean front room and were not disappointed - we went to sleep and woke the next morning to the sound of the Caribean crashing onto the beach just 20 metres or so from our patio. Fantastic. I have read other reviews that say rooms and bathrooms are dated and maybe they are - but they are clean, air conditioned and everything worked. I think that for the price paid they represent excellent value for money. I have also seen references to slow service and yes, sometimes it does happen - but things work on Tobago time, so just chill. You're on holiday so why does anything need to be done in a rush? Ryan, who manages the hotel next door (Le Grand Corlan), was also looking after The Grafton when we first arrived and you couldn't hope to find a more helpful or charming guy. Junior runs the main restaurant and is enormously helpful and professional, whilst Tenille behind the bar was great fun. We were on an all-inclusive package and food was good - breakfast and lunch best. The new manager, Rene Blanchard, is already improving dinner. So, all in all, a truly fantastic two week break in February and one that I highly recommend. If you go expecting five stars then you might be disappointed - but if you go expecting good 3 to 4 stars and incredible value for money then, like us, you'll love it. I hope this review doesn't make it too popular as we want to go back next year!More
