If you’re looking for a relaxing trip, location is key and you’re not fussed about hotel quality, then this hotel is for you.

+ = Great location, Spacious room, bed quite comfortable, working air con and safe. Junior in restaurant, lovely humble man. Jeffrey in the bar, efficient and quick service. Renee, the new manager, looking to make improvements and accommodating. Chris the chef, friendly guy and he does good eggs and yummy pancakes.

- = Rooms in desperate need for a renovation. No shower curtain. Towel rail loose. No real variation in menu. Food mediocre. Slap dash cleaning of rooms. Some staff in desperate need of customer relations training. Not efficient.

We have just come back yesterday from The Grafton Hotel and experienced a wonderful week in Tobago, the island is beautiful and the beach at Stonehaven is gorgeous just a 2 minute walk from the hotel.
The new Manager who arrived a few days before us was looking to implement many changes to the hotel and had already brought new staff in and had started redecorating etc
It is such a fantastic spot where it is situated I really hope he can change many aspects as I have read some reviews that are not very complimentary,
Junior was fantastic and one of the ladies behind the bar we nicknamed the Margarita Queen! I do feel they will turn the hotel around.
We were in 114 looking straight out onto the beach and listened to the waves crashing in which was wonderful. The rooms are very spacious and clean, we could not fault them, though they need a bit of TLC which is in the Managers plan. I would recommend the hotel to families and couples for a relaxing stay. Transfers brilliant and the rep was lovely. We organised though our own taxi to places which are cheap and hired a car to go round the island, this was an amazing day! The manager was very helpful with the map and detailing where was best to go and routes etc. Overall all the holiday was fantastic !

Room tip: Front Suites have fantastic views of the bay

Hotel 3 star So I did not expect a lot. Some members of staff including supervisors were lazy I found it hard to actually do the job. The worst was a bar restaurant supervisor lady 49-ish what is going on the bar I was wondering off it was more of an effort for her to serve customers drinks more worried about her nails and what she was going to drink.
Lack of staff of the big problem in the dining room one night one of the chefs was arguing and being rude to customers at the same time. Portions were given were small or normal European portion of chicken cut into eight you will give in one piece i.e. a little drumstick. Food was repetitious Kingfish chicken.
Junior on the breakfast shift was an excellent supervisor and his breakfast staff were very good.
Pool bar was never open what was advertised on the website beach club non-existent given a deluxe room as stated on the website there was nothing deluxe about it stains on the ceiling where the leaks have been through. The ceiling fans didn’t work took five working days to have it repaired. Pictures on the website and not accurate road runs right through the middle of the hotel resort.
This hotel is not suitable for elderly people as just lots and lots of steps up and down from rooms to beach to dining room which is not in the brochure or any description of it on the website.

Staff was helpful and pleasant but not enough staff to accommodate all the guests especially at meal time. Only 1 restaurant open week of Jan 23-30. Buffet meals were good and Junior ran a happy morning crew. Chris was an excellent chef multi tasking the pancakes and egg orders with ease. There was “ high tea” in the late afternoon but it didn’t quite accommodate all dietary needs so no food between lunch and supper on Caribbean time wasn’t nice since 2 restaurants were advertised but only 1 buffet operational. No a lacartes available.Neptune pool bar only offered last few days of stay. Beach lovely but pictures on Sunwing website deceiving! The picture appears to be from the Wave restaurant which the hotel owner also owns but is $$ to access. Too bad there were no lounge chairs or umbrellas on the beach available. I understand the beach is public but it would have been nice to enjoy it and using our all inclusive arm bands access a beverage from the “Waves” restaurant. There was no nightly entertainment which we had read was offered. Really enjoyed the Steel pan music evening. Found out about “Sunday school “ where there were competitions. Glad our helpful bartender Marion gave us more info so we could enjoy the cultural experience. More activities would be nice but glad we had books to enjoy by the pool. Beautiful island and people.

Good points first: great location, beach beautiful! Rooms dated but quite clean and spacious. Breakfast good.
Not so good points: buffet food very same, at times not even warm, poor fish always so overcooked! Staff that serve food are so disinterested, poor people skills, dismissive and plain rude at times. Apart from a couple of staff there, most of them were rude, looked very unhappy, ignored you all the time... I could go on! There’s just not enough sun beds. Not enough towels. Just not enough communication from anyone to anyone. When we booked it was stated there was evening entertainment- whatever was on those 3 nights out of 7 I would not call it entertainment! Craft market is definitely not entertainment in my mind. One of the singers was keep checking her phone whilst attempting to sing! It was a joke. We knew this was not 5 star place and definitely were not expecting it to be, but I don’t think it’s worth 3 stars. A shame, as the island is beautiful. Would not go back.
