Nice view over marina. Get given bread and butter at the beginning once you have ordered which is €3! Souvlaki nice but chips not very good, cabbage was not good needed more salad; needed more sides. Moussaka was nice, needed more sides just had pile of red cabbage, aubergine was nice. Omelette i asked for mushroom only when it arrived it had ham in, had to ask then to change it which was a bit of a faf, but got my vegetarian omelette in the end, again needed better sides other than just red cabbage, could have had chips or salad. Got given watermelon at the end of the meal, which non of us like however was a nice gesture.

On our last day on Santorini we were looking for a place for some lunch and by chance we came across Taverna Dimitris Vlichada. I liked this place, not just for the food, but for the fact that it was away from all the tourist spots on the island. Santorini was very busy even in June and Vlychada was a little piece of peace and quiet. The calamari along with a salad and fries went down a treat. All served by a larger than life owner. The view overlooking the harbour on a sunny day made this a very enjoyable lunch stop.

We went here on the recommendation of a local, and had a great lunch. It has a lovely view over the harbour, and there's a lot of emphasis on fish and seafood, but it wasn't a problem for this vegetarian to find something on the menu. In fact, the vegetable omelette was so large that I couldn't finish it all! The owner was very sweet, and looked dismayed that I hadn't finished it - I reassured him that the food was great, I was just full up. Very reasonable prices and a nice setting, I would definitely return when in the area.

We stumbled upon Dimitri's after a morning in the Tomato Industrial Museum. We had a small lunch here - Greek salad and tomatokeftedes. Both were delicious, however, and the owner of the restaurant was so kind. We were brought some melon for dessert! Very good food and nice views of Vlychada harbor.
