The Green Beach is an older hotel but it is set in a stunning location. Built over nine stories, it faces the bat of Patalavaca, between Arguiniguin and Anfi. All the rooms are actually apartments consisting of bedroom, bathroom and lounge/kitchen, all with a balcony. Sadly, the bedrooms do not have air-conditioning.The hotel is decorated to deflect the heat of the canarian sunshine - all white walls and marble staicases. The reception is on the eighth floor and the restaurant is on the ninth. Also on the ninth floor is a rooftop sunbathing area with a jacuzzi. To the front of the hotel is a pleasant garden and swimming pool. The hotel is kept immaculately clean by a very consiencious staf. The restaurant offers what nowadays is called "international cuisine", ie something to suite everyone's taste. There is a wide variety of food and it is all well kept and well presented. Nobody would go hungry here! The bar is adjacent to the restaurant and, in the evenings, there is entertainment. Probably the star attraction of this hotel is its staff. Everyone who works here is very polite, very friendly and very helpful - especially the hard-working Alfredo in the restaurant.
Patalavaca has no attractions whatsoever but there is a lovely walk along the beach to Anfi where there are shops, a park and boat trips. Or walk in the other direction for twenty minutes to Arguiniguin which also has lots of shopping. The pace at Green Beach is leisurely and most of the clientelle seem to be retired people. It's a wonderful place to just relax and unwind. A very good quality three star hotel which would definitely be four star if it had air conditioning.

Room tip: Ty to get a room on the higher floors, the view across the bay is magnificent.

Myself and my partner arrived on the 26th September for a week. Things went downhill from here. We had been informed we would have a sea view room (apparently all rooms have a sea view), although we were placed on the ground floor looking at the pool cupboard, below pool level. We attempted to change rooms but were told the hotel was fully booked and nothing they could do about it. That was that. So we made do. To be fair, the rooms are spacious, generally cleaned well by the staff. No air con made sleeping very difficult, resulting in a few cold showers throughout the night. We could not leave the balcony door open due to ground floor, the multitude of insects and obviously safety reasons. The pool itself is well maintained with plenty of sunloungers. No need to get down early to put towels out which is a bonus. The sun doesn't hit the main pool area until around 11, so hotel guests don't usually venture out until near this time. The position of the hotel with mountain behind limits sun exposure to an extent. There is an area which captures the sun earlier approx 09:30 that we made use of so all in all, outdoors, the hotel meets all expectations. There is a pool bar for drinks and snacks all reasonable. We had one evening meal in the hotel on the first evening for ease. We wouldn't choose to to back again. Limited selection and overly priced at €17 per person for average enough food. Plenty of restaurants to choose from around the hotel and in Anfi beach area which we walked to each evening. There is a huge lack of entertainment for during the day and night, so probably not child friendly in our opinion. A man plays the same songs on a keyboard in the 'Piano Bar' each evening. That is all for entertainment. We couldn't fault the staff, all very friendly and polite. Anfi beach has plenty of restaurants and some evening entertainment from 8pm which seemed to cater well for children. Generally, this is a quiet area of Gran Canaria. We ventured into Peurto Rico for 2 evenings and enjoyed every minute. Main concern and why we would not return to Servatur Green Beach was the abundance of cockroaches that we found each morning when lights went on. Some other insects we could deal with (odd spider and flies) but cockroaches! Absolutely not. My partner was steady trying to rid them from our room. So that in itself is unacceptable and has put us off.

Overall, outdoor facilities ideal for a relaxing, peaceful week away with a beach 15 mins walk away, provided you don't mind seeking out evening entertainment. In terms of the hotel room, poor quality of hygiene and one which needs desperate action. Possibly a much improved experience if placed in rooms above the ground floor, limiting infestation.

Leaving this lovely Aparthotel today after a 7 day break with my friend. We were pleasantly surprised by this 3star hotel. Our apartment was spacious with all facilities for self catering. Very clean and nicely decorated, TV, safe, sofa table chairs and a large bathroom with a large shower cubic. Beautiful view of the sea from our balcony. Only negative was there was no air conditioning in the room or a fan. However the balcony made up for that. The apartment was cleaned daily. Staff professional friendly and helpful. The pool side was excellent. Plenty of sun beds and umbrellas for everyone. The fake grass gave a nice and fresh touch in this area. Poolside bar great for snacks and cocktails. Access to a small beach via the gates at the back of the hotel where you can also find some Restaurent if you walk along the strip. Didn’t eat in the Restaurent as we wanted to explore the island but the menus look fine and not overpriced. Music in the piano bar each evening was entertaining. Would definitely visit again.

Choosing to stay here has completely ruined mine and my partners holiday, went to bed starving every night as there is nothing around the hotel food wise unless you like fish or tapas which we do not. Food in the restaurant is disgusting and cold and they expect you to pay €17 PER PERSON when they had about 4 options to choose from in there ‘buffet’. Had to personally go and ask for clean towels as cleaners are yet to visit our room. Terrible location nothing to do within walking distance. Hotel walls are very thin so no chance getting a good night sleep as you can hear everything. No air conditioning makes sleeping impossible. Booked a sea view room only to arrive and have a bottom floor room where all we had a view of were sunbathers with their boobs out. Other guests were very rude. Unless you want to cook in your room every night an not go out then I strongly suggest you DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL.

Stayed here for 7 nights and overall I would say this hotel is good.

Its a good location in Patalavaca and is equal walking distance from both Anfi and Arguineguin. We tended to walk to the beach at Anfi which was really nice and part of a purpose built resort so there's more going on. Patalavaca beach and Arguineguin were nice but not as appealing somehow. There's some really lovely restaurant's nearby such as cabo suroeste and restaurante rossini.

The hotel itself is really clean and comfortable to be in, the pool area is fantastic though suffers from the usual unnecessary sun bed reservers! Our room was cleaned every day and all of the staff were very friendly. Self catering facilities were good though we only used these for simple breakfasts.

Reasons why I'm not giving a 5 star review are that there is no air con, there was a slight lack of parasols which I think contributed to people hogging certain sun beds and is an easy problem to fix, and I think the rooms are in general need of modernising.
