The principal problem of this Resort-Hotel is the lack of a Tourism Bureau. I had to go to Athens (70 minutes) in a bus and finally in the subway to find mineself an Agency. This Hotel, so far from the city, in a suburban-rural area, must have this service inside. So, I do not recommend this Hotel for a traveler anxious for tours and experiences. Internet access is 4 Euros per hour. ( Very expensive) If you want to use the Gymn, you have to pay 10 Euros everytime you go....which is really ridiculous. I never used it.
Deck around pool has not been painted in the last 10 years. Furnitures all over the Hotel are old and out of date.
If you weight more than 200 lb, you will be unable to use the shower. It is so narrow
Breakfast is free and it is excellent. Food is OK. Has a restaurant, but it is expensive. We used to go to the cafeteria eventhough has only few options: Club Sandwish and toasts. It is better to go to a near village instead of using the Hotel Restaurant. Lutsa (Town) is close, may go by bus and has excellent restaurants much less expensive.
About air conditioning: It depends on the old french people. If they want to be warm, the hotel will not switch the heater to cold air, so you will be sweting in your room and leave the balcony doors open (mosquitos). This was the answer that they gave me when I reported that the AC was not working at all.
Remember to bring a transformer if any of your devices is only 110v. Remember to bring european adaptors to plug in your devices.
Of course, if anyhow you decide to chose this resort. Bring a lot of money. You have to pay even to have a son bed at the beach 2.50 E every time you come to the beach.
Good thing: They have excellent animators; a couple of guys from Italy: Tiziano Giaramita, Michelle Scaletta and Asia from Poland. They are in charge of animation every night. They make you forget all the inconveniences.
The pictures that you se online are real. Only the pictures.
Conclusion: It is better to select another Hotel closer to Anthem. I left the Hotel with the idea that they are happy bringing old people from France and that's it. Of course, it is not a 4 stars Hotel. I will never return
I will notify RCI

Room Tip: Ask for bungalow. Have own AC. closer to beach

We didnt actually stay at this hotel as when we arrived late at the airport for a 5.00am flight the next morning we found the hotel was 22kms away and would take 35mins to get there and 35euros one way by taxi.It is advertised as an airport hotel by booking .com 5.5kms away from the airport We are talking to them to help other travellers not to book this hotel as a airport hotel .Booking .com are investigaing our claim at the moment. There is only one called the Sofital that is a true airport hotel. The manager didnt tell us the truth when we called during the day as our ferry was late as were going to use the shuttle and again later when we knew the shuttle wasnt running He said it was a few minutes from the airport. He Lied, but took our money and we spent the night at the Sofital as we couldnt trust them to have a taxi at 2.00 to get us back again.A real let down to Greece Survived 46 years before I went will survive another 46 before I go back. Please dont use this hotel as nearby the airport you would be better off staying in Athens which is 17kms from the airport Go Figure

Room Tip: The best room would be to book somewhere else

We came in from Mykonos and needed a hotel near the airport for a morning flight the next day...This hotel is marketed as being close to the airport. Well, the taxi driver at the ferry certainly don't know that! It turned out that he didn't have a clue as to its location. We drove for over an hour trying to find the place.
As we drove up to the hotel,we were totally impressed. It has a beautiful lobby, but that is where the beauty ends. The rooms are very average and not totally clean - mold in the bathrooms is a real turnoff! On the other hand, the pool is really nice, but do to our 1 hour tour of the area, we really didn't get much use out of it.
The hotel is very isolated and so dinner at the hotel is about your only option. The night we were there the only choice was an overpriced buffet - of very overcooked food. Thank goodness there was ice-cream for dessert. The next morning, the breakfast was free, but we laughed as we ate food that appeared to be made from the leftovers from dinner!
This hotel was the only one we stayed at that charged for everything: the internet was extra, the transfer ride to the airport.
This hotel also boasts a spa and gym. Like everything else, there was an extra charge to use the gym or the steam room.
This hotel was a real disappointment

just got back from Mykonos this week and had to stay in Athens for one night. So me and my friend needed a place to stay for one night and we thought with a rate of 130 euros for a twin room that the hotel would be up to a certain standard. We couldn't have been more wrong. Even though we only stayed there for one night, we were glad to get out of there the next morning. Service was terrible, especially in the bar. I've never seen such miserable staff in my life, extremely unpleasant. The menu is just so basic, we needed something to eat and there wasn't much choice at all, just sandwiches available. Even with such a limited menu, the waitress got my order wrong , gave me a ham sandwich instead of a club sandwich.
Then there's the constant droning of the biridie song blared through the sound system from the bar which could be heard in our room on the fifth floor. The music was played till late and when it stopped you could hear the cackling and laughter of all the people down below.
Room was quite small , nothing special really and the bed sheets were quite disgusting really, i mean they must be about 20 years old at least. You'd think with paying a rate of 130 a night that you'd get a better standard that this. We were so relieved that we only had to spend one night there and that was bad enough for us.

I cannot believe the recent negative reviews written about this hotel! My husband and I are regular visitors and have been here 7 times since 1994,the last in 2008.We have seen the hotel change ownership and different tour operators come and go but it has always maintained,in our opinion,it`s 4 star rating. The airport is 40 mins from the hotel-so what??This is below the average time from airports to the tourist areas and let`s be honest here-the people who complained it was too far would probably complain of the aircraft noise if it was any closer! As for the journey to Athens, yes, the local bus does take over an hour but as Athens is so popular there is no problem "hooking up" with 2/3 other guests and sharing the cost of a taxi.We went in a minibus with 6 others and the individual cost was as cheap as the bus! With regard to the rooms,we have always had lovely rooms with modern, clean bathrooms so I really cannot comment on that aspect. We found the buffet meals tasty and varied and in the Summer months, breakfast on the terrace is delightful. The hotel and travel brochures do point out that the hotel is somewhat isolated so really,if prospective guests were to read this, they would be aware that this hotel is really for adults wanting a quiet break;it is not ideal for children.Admittedly it is 18 months since we last visited the hotel, but the main complaints seem to be about location with the occasional grumble about the food and room cleanliness. We can only speak with what we found and we have stayed in 4 and 5 star hotels all over the world and the Mare Nostrum has always been a favourite.
