My wife and I stayed here August 2nd. We booked it with relaxation in mind. You won't be disappointed. The views are amazing. The apartment we had was on the first floor, so just opened the balcony window in the morning lay on the bed and took in the sea view. Our apartment had a kitchen across a small corridor, which really isn't a problem.
Luka and Anita are on hand to give you loads of information and where possible will give you a lift in the car. The apartments are spotless. Bedding and towels are changed weekly. Air con is all included in the booking.
Zaton is a very peaceful area so no banging bars anywhere. There are 2 restaurants within a 10 min flat walk. We ate at Vala which was really good, but mostly ate at Dandy's. Breakfast cost for local or semi English 100 kuna, about £12. Evening meals varied, such as pizza's at £6 to calamari at £16. Beer costs £3.70 a pint, whilst a litre of wine came in at around the same. We never had a bad meal and the staff at both restaurants were always smiling and on hand to give any help.
House Teresa has kayakes for hire at £20 for the day. There is a sealed container, so you can put cameras money etc in. It is a brill day as you can go all over. The sea is really calm, so you are really safe. Outside the house to the left are yellow speed boats. It costs £40 for 2 with unlimited drinks(beer/wine) etc . The lads take you out for 4 hours and these boats shift with 250hp. Take a mask as they take you to caves to swim in. The fish are amazing. You can even cliff jump/dive if you want. The 3 island boat trip was ok at a cost of £30 each with lunch and drinks. We have been on better boat trips, but it comes down to your own views. There are other restaurants around the bay. It takes about 30 mins to walk(do not leave the waters edge all the way round) you will need a torch coming back in places. The 1st restaurant (Ankara) we didn't like as the staff were really miserable. We went to the next restaurant along which was much better. There is another around the corner which we went to when we had the kayake and had a brill pizza. All restaurants have very similar menus. There is a supermarket with ATM 10 mins away ( top tip take your flight case) fill it up with beer food etc and wheel back. There is a menu in the house if you want food delivered and then sit on the balcony. They say 45mins, but it was usually 90-120 mis, but really good pizzas.
Going into Dubrovnik, get the early 8.10am bus and do the wall walk early as it is mega hot. The wall costs £20 each and takes about 1hr to walk. We also went at night which was mannick but loads of choice restaurants from cheapish to expensive. The architecture of the buildings are amazing. A taxi back will cost £20 set fee.
If you want a relaxing holiday (Zaton) combined with going into really busy (Dubrovnik) then this is the place to come. Just walk down 20 steps and you are sat on your sun bed. We had a fantastic break, even walked over the mountain 5 mile there and back.
