We spent five days there with the family. We had an excellent time. The kids enjoyed it very much and we had a very relaxing time. The villas are well maintained and spacious. Big bedrooms, traditionally furnished. One big marble bathroom and a WC with shower. Aircondition in all rooms. The Kitchen is well equipped but some appliances need to be replaced. The terrace and pool area wasalso sapacious and nice though a refurbishment is needed. Also because the villas are west oriented from noon till about 18.00 it was very hot and we had to eat inside the villa. An umbrella is not enough. The family that run the villas were very welcome and warm. They also offer breakfast and dinner with dishes inspired from the Cretan tradition and with the best ingredients. You should try both. The beach close to the villas is ok but very close by you can find better ones. Last but not least our compliments to the maids for the excellent cleaning! Overall we had a great time and we definitely recommend it if you seek a place to relax and calm down.

The family run villa was lovely, Mr Adonis and his family's friendly warm attitude made the holiday so much more relaxing for our family, the villa could not be vaulted it was emmaculate and well furnished with excellent facilities. Our teenage kids loved it. The food cooked by Mr Adonis was exceptional I would highly recommend eating at the villa restaurant at least once for those staying.

Istron Villas is a heavenly villa resort run by the most welcoming and warm family ,
A breath taking location, stunning views, luxurious top quality villas that have everything you will need for a great family vacation. The ingenious of this family run resort is that they some how are able to provide a luxury holiday feeling yet subtle and unpretentious. We felt at home from the first hello!!

We were received with a worm sit down of local wine and a taste of Adonis's wonderful cooking. What a wonderful way to go over our arrangements for the next week and villa facilities, by sitting down with Adonis and Dimitri and having a Greek afternoon drink and snack while waiting for the rest of our party to arrive.

We had our family reunion at Istron Villas, 3 families totaling 14 people!!
we could not have chosen a better place!
I chose this place from the reviews without really understanding where it is located, or how big the villas are but what a wonderful surprise.

The Villas:
All 3 villas were fabulous, up on a hill with stunning sea and mountain views. Huge comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms to match each bedroom. All had a great size pool and huge patios, with enough sun beds for any size family.
There was always everything you need in the villa. It was perfect to accommodate 3 generations of family in one villa, all had their privacy and own bathrooms yet in the same house.
Villas are cleaned daily and towels & bedding changed if you wish, no need to bring a thing from home!

The beach:
Although up on a steep hill the beach is only a few minutes walk down a flowery path, (or from some villas just down a stair case on the back of the villas).
Istron Bay beach waters are flat as a lake with beautifully clear blue water and grey black sand (it is a slightly more course sand, but no need for special shoes to go in the water it is perfectly nice on your feet).
If you like a bit of walking then just a 10 minute walk through the path in the hills you can reach the golden beach with little secluded hidden bays and golden sand.
If you have a car it is just two minuets away with organized parking.

Food:
We asked to have breakfast for all 14 of us every day, and what a wonderful Greek feast was created for us by Adonis and his daughter Mariana. Everyday we had new and existing home made James and pastries that made the adults as existed as the kids, as well as plenty of great tasting cheeses, meets, vegetables and omelets. it was a real hearty feast for the eyes and tummies that kept us going for the whole day.
If you ask in the morning Adonis can cook dinner for you as well, with fresh produce bought especially for you, we had the best Seabas and Octopus any of us ever tasted!

The town:
Istron village is just 10/15 minute walk or short drive away. good for essentials shopping but not much more (there is one great wine shop)
(Agios Nicolas as well as many other more classic villages are only a short drive away and have everything you will need)
we rented our cars from "Istron cars" located at the neighboring Istron bay hotel, service & price where once again fantastic. they will bring you the car to the villa and collect from you as well, so no hassle.

To conclude, this is one place we are certain to return to URGENTLY.
I can only thank this wonderful family for making our family time there magic.

Just returned from a two weeks family vacation spent on Istron Villas. It's been one of the greatest holiday we ever spent together. The family owners are absolutely adorable and available, the peace is unique, the beach is private and in a short walk distance from the villas, which have private pool. Not once did the cleaning ladies failed on us (we asked for a morning cleaning), or the pool cleaner, and, if you're not on the cooking mood, every day you can pre-order your meal, cooked by de adorable chief Andonis. The weather is absolutely great, the water is cool and you can use the hotel facilities (we found no need). We got the 3 bedrooms top north villa (Artemis), with great privacy. Undoubtedly, an unforgettable time. You just need to book a car for the whole vacation... peace has it's price. Loved it and absolutely recommend it.
