Corfu Holiday Palace

We actually went in April 2016 the indoor pool was pretty unsafe as work was going on behind it. It was pretty quiet as not in season but still expected more from the hotel, the room was average and the food was okay however I was ill on this trip and didnt eat much but my partner said the food wasn’t that great but he’s fussy!! It’s a nice area not much to do but not far from Corfu town which is good as a bus stop is right outside and lots of shops to get food from. Overall it was an average holiday defo not up to the standard for the amount of stars but nonetheless was okay:)

The hotel is large and lacks service elements that it should have

The luxury bungalow was amazing and felt really special with breath taking views

Food was average - the breakfast was ok but the evening meal was bland and sometimes cold
We are out every night

Facilities are ok
The pool is pretty good and nice and warm
Never an issue getting a lounger

The hotel needs to change and get the food and service offering better

It is clean and great for the airport and going out in Corfu town

The hotel is out of town, 10 minutes by bus, with beautifull views to all directions. We had the sea view with beautiful sun shines and moon rise and great view all over. It has a sea shore that is accessible by an elevator but you won't use it since Corfu has incredible sea shores just everywhere that you'll want to visit.
The room was big and very comfortable and clean. There even was a third bed instead of the couches that we usually got for the third person. the design is quite old but it is kept in really good shape. The room was neatly arranged every day , so it was quite pleasant to get back to the nicely arranged room. The bathroom is modern, big and clean.
We Restaurant in the hotel was rich and served very varied dishes ant it was very convinien for us. Our daughter received gluten free dishes which was really great.
Every evening there was a performance in the bar, very entertaining and with excelent artists - musicians, dancers, singers. I have never before seen such an investment in these hotel shows.
The staff - very nice and helpful.
I do recommend this hotel warmly and hope to stay there again.

Corfu Holiday Palace Hotel
The above hotel is like a fake Rolex watch. If visiting take a good pair of ear defenders!! The musicians are better with mouthing and giving the V sign when spoken to. To see a Manager an appointment has to be made at Reception who will give an appointment in three days. BE SURE TO READ the small print. 80 euros if you are a minute late booking out. 60 euros if you spill wine in the bedroom.
5 stars is something of a joke. Flimsy paper table mats underneath sticky tables, the cheapest and smallest paper serviettes. Good points - Location. Although there are no outside facilities. Beach and Swimming Pools are good; check your sunbed for cat manure. Aircraft noise not a problem Perhaps the owner and staff should visit a proper 5 star hotel, there are several on Corfu, one of which I have booked for next year. Our room 1 of 5 Bungalows in a row with a very small pool. Very sparce furniture. 1 chair, 1 mirror, no handrail in bath. Bathroom – when sitting on the toilet one’s chin rested on the wash basin – the door width 40”.
However as seasoned travellers of many years we should have seen through the 5 star advert before we booked. In real terms 3 star would be the international standard of this hotel. I do not believe the owner appreciates the position it puts probably long serving staff in. For 5 stars tell him to try a visit to the Plaza in New York USA.
Corfu is a super place to spend a few days, the people are pleasant. Do not waste your money on the Corfu Palace Hotel, there are plenty of better quality hotels.

Hotel is nicely situated in Kanoni, good facilities, decor is dated, staff require training in hospitality, the biggest draw back was that the management had turned off the air conditioning despite outside temp of 27 degrees C and room tem during day was 34 C, after a lot of protest(5 calls and a visit to reception) they gave us a fan which circulated the stale air. Food was average of a 3* hotel of UK standard.
Hotel is very near airport, however seeing take off and landing is a bonus despite the noise.

Room Tip: Request a bungalow or a sea view rooms
