What a wonderful place. We arrived on the first British plane of the season. We had an apartment (actually a bungalow) all to ourselves, no people next door to bang doors etc. We felt like it was our own place in the middle of a Forrest nearly. So pretty. A little set back from the road, but not far at all from all the restaurants and two supermarkets. The bungalow was all you need, comfy beds, good wardrobes, good shower room with plenty of hot water, main area table and chairs and little sofas, kitchen well stocked with utensils. Most I cooked was few boiled eggs for breakfast anyway. There was a small cooker with two hobs, a toaster, kettle, and a good size fridge freezer. Be careful not to leave food out though as the ants soon find it. But that's the case in most places I think, you just have to be aware of it. The rooms were cleaned regularly. The veranda was huge, we sat out there breakfast and on an evening before and after our evening meal, so quiet. Can't imagine it would get much noise around there because of the surrounding trees. Yes I really think I could live there. Shouldn't say that really because next time I want to go, and there will be a next time, it will be fully booked. It was such a laid back holiday, totally chilled out sort of place. Can't say what it's like in high season but can't imagine it would be too loud at all. The resort itself has amazing scenery, beautiful walks, beautiful beaches. This has to be one of the nices places I have ever been to. What more can I say. The only down side I can think of is the evenings could be quite chilly but it was early May and no one can change that, but the days were lovely and warm.

The Kaiti was perfect for us. We don't enjoy large complexes and feeling part of a Brits abroad package, and Kaiti certainly was neither of these. Simple studios and apartments in beautiful gardens of olive groves and fruit trees, set back from the main road along a flower filled driveway. We stayed in studio 1, the first in the block of 3 studios, all had great privacy, with very private balconies overlooking the gardens. Studios are large and well equipped, and cleaned monday, wednesday and fridays,The twin beds are a bit hard but after a several ouzos who cared! We loved sitting on the balcony at night, fantastic aspect for star gazing and listening to the scoop owls. On some nights you could hear music from the various greek nights in Koukounaries which we rather enjoyed and it wasn't too loud always finishing around 11pm. We also had a star jasmine tree right outside our door and its beautiful scent wafted through our apartments all day and night - dreamy! I would certainly recommend Kaiti for those who enjoy peaceful holidays in a beautiful setting.

Room Tip: studio 1 the 1st in the block gets a bitmore sun than the other 2 and has a bit more of a panoramic view

This place is fabulous. The reviews really don't do it justice. I think the low star rating may put people off but it has everything. Lovely clean apartment in the owners garden.
My balcony looked straight onto lemon and olive trees. It was very tranquil and perfect for me.
The apartment was very well equipped and had everything that I needed. It was in a great position behind the Main Street of Koukanaries and within easy walking distance of all the beaches.
There isn't a swimming pool but you can use the pool next door which was excellent.
Kaiti is lovely.
I can't find it on any of the tour operator sites for next year so hanging on and hope that it will appear because I would love to stay here again.

Kaiti complex comprises of 5 apartments, a mixture of studios and bungalows. We stayed in a two bedroom detached bungalow. It was very basic (but this is 1 star in Greece) however, it had everything we needed. Decent kitchen, I don't think you could cook a 3 course meal but it was adequate for a bit of breakfast! Basic bathroom, plenty of hot water for four people (2 teenage girls!) 2 good size bedrooms both with air con, 5€ per day per room, also a safe, 1€ per day.
Great balcony with plenty of shade. Cleaned twice in a week and lovely cake brought to us by the owners.
It is a 5 minute walk from the main road up a bit of a hill, the beach is a 15 minute walk (Koukounaries beach is quite busy but there are loads of lovely quiet beaches just a bus ride away) bus stop and super market 5 minute walk from apartment. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby.
We hired a car for a couple of days and explored beautiful Skiathos. Fab holiday would definitely go back!!!!!

Kiati is spacious, secluded, quiet accommodation yet 5 minutes from the main drag. T Cook gave a map to find it which was inaccurate and confusing. Go up the lane with the Stamelos Bar on your left and after 50 yard take the right bend. There will be a small wall on your left with large Yucca type plants in the garden. Continue along the wall for 30 yards and take the first left. Kaiti is 75 yards up the hill on the right. It's not for anyone with severe walking difficulty. The owner and her son are friendly and helpful. Sofias ( Sergios ) pool and bar is down the hill, left to the end and up the incline to the top on the left about 5 minutes. The pool area is very nice and drinks are cheaper than the main drag. The village itself is a bit rundown in places, some establishments didn't even invest in a coat of paint in the closed season and over half the taverners didn't provide a paper bill when asked. The bars are half empty probably because they're anything but cheap and those who do have a drink aren't paying 6E for a short or 9E for a cocktail. Food and drink in the taverners is more reasonably priced. Can recommend Ilias for dinner (mixed Stamna, Bream ) and Under the Pine for a Gyros. To access the main beach there is a gate opposite the Stamelos Bar. Banana beach can be acesssed via the final bus stop but I wouldn't go on foot again. There are very steep up and down hills to get there which are very slippy and cars hurtle up and down them clearly out of control. There's a very serious accident 'waiting to happen'. It can be difficult getting a bus into Skiathos Town in the evening because the buses are full of people coming back from the beach. Three quieter beaches can be found via the pine forest. Go right at the Stamelos Bar and head for the Caravos Hotel set back a little further along on the right. Keep going and you'll see the track to the forest. It's heavily sanded so trainers are best footwear otherwise you'll get grit between your sandals and the sole of your feet. 3 beaches are signposted including Mandraki, 45 minutes at most but not for those with walking difficulty although a chap on crutches managed it! . The walks to the quieter beaches and the tranquility of kaiti are enough to influence us to return.
