We visited The Minnis after a day on the beach with our grandchildren. The service was appallling, the waitress wasn't really interested in serving us. My husand's battered cod was burnt with hardly any fish in the batter. When our food came we had to ask for cutlery and when our grandchildrens pudding was served, we had to ask for cutlery again. I ordered a coffee and I never got it, it wasn't even on the bill, so the waitress didn't even order it. The whole experience was a disappointment costing £50! It is a nice restaurant in a lovely coastal setting, but we will not visit again.

Been here on several occasions. Always good meal. Roast on Sunday is fantastic

Staff are great and friendly well trained and polite.

Get a table by the window and you can watch the waves and watch the world go by

As locals we used to eat at the 'old' Minnis before it's refurbishment last year. We went for an evening meal in the newly refurbished place . The menu is quite limited and the prices are highish. The service was poor, the food average to poor and we won't be going back. The management of Shepherd Neame need to take note of the poor reviews and take some action to correct things. It's a shame as locals would use this restaurant much more if it was providing quality food with a good service.

We have visited several times as a couple & the food has always been excellent, this time we took our family including our grandson. There is a good selection of food for children & our grandson loved his dinner & ice cream. This restaurant is highly recommended from us & the Seabass is amazing!!

We are regulars for their breakfast which is good value for money. Sadly our supper there yesterday with family (Monday 20th August 2018) was a big disappointment: we had gone especially for their mussels but they were off the menu. Settled on 4 cod and chips and 1 burger. The cod was over battered and well over-cooked and dry; the burger too was well over-cooked and dry. We'll stick to breakfast (or at least phone to check out the mussels!). It remains a lovely venue with staff willing and able
