Took my patents to the Moorhead to revise their old haunts around Shrewsbury. They reckoned it was the best place they have ever stayed which, given that they are in their 80s is quite an endorsement. Rebecca was such a great host and thought of everything to make our stay so good. Cannot praise the Moorhead highly enough.

We love the Moorhead B&B! This is our second stay here and we hope to be back again. I cannot think of anything I would improve. Rebecca is a fantastic host and nothing is too much trouble.

Set back about 500m from the road through its own private driveway with pin code entry, you feel very safe. We had the family room again with its balcony which is lovely when you have great weather (which we did) to enjoy a bottle of chilled wine (you have to bring your own but a fridge is available in the breakfast area). The views from the balcony and just generally around the house are beautiful and there are plenty of cows etc wandering through the fields. Not forgetting the lovely cats Smudge and Mittens who our girls love to play with.

A fabulous breakfast spread too with everything you could want from cereal to porridge to a full English, all superbly prepared by Rebecca.

Thanks again Rebecca, we will be back!!

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at The Moorhead. Rebecca was so lovely, warm and welcoming and every part of our stay was just what we needed! The room was clean, beautifully decorated and the bed was incredibly comfy! We ordered room service and the food was delicious - Rebecca also went to the extra length of ensuring my gluten free requirements were met with the tastiest choices available. Breakfast was equally delicious and there was an excellent selection of fruit available as well as a scrumptious cooked breakfast too. The setting is idyllic with countryside views and there was a perfect seating area to enjoy it from our room. We look forward to returning in the future!

I booked this place last minute on the day. I was met by Rebecca on my arrival, a very pleasant and friendly lady.
The room was of a generous proportion, I had a great nights sleep in their comfortable room the place is set in lovely grounds and breakfast was perfect. I’d thoroughly recommend this place again.

We are a regular visitor at Moorhead and we always have a fabulous visit. Rebecca is an amazing hostess. The house is impeccably clean and very comfortable. Nothing is too much trouble for Rebecca and she always makes us feel part of her family. Not to forget Phil who cooks delicious breakfasts.
