This restaurant seems to lack basic professionalism. It's homey but, aside from the prime rib - and even it didn't seem to be top notch beef - the food is very average. And not cheap. The waitstaff are pleasant but not very well trained. The decor is nondescript. The dining room faces the river and that seems to be its greatest asset.
I had the perch which was a large, indelicate hunk of fish, deep fried in a cornmeal crust. I thought the cornmeal overpowered the fish. There were quite green beans which were undercooked and a passable rice pilaf. They had a lemon meringue pie for dessert and it wasn't bad. But not good enough to bring us back.
