Comfortable hotel in St Pierre, very friendly, nice, clean rooms with fantastic views of the sea. The managers / owners were very helpful in assisting with contacting dive centres in the vicinity. Parking on nearby streets is fairly straightforward.

What made our stay especially memorable-- and why I gave it the 5 point rating-- is how hospitable the owners and operators were to us. Henri picked us up at the airport in FDF, cooked us a 3 course meal and provided an impromptu rum and calvados tasting. English is somewhat limited (much better than my French...) but communications was not a problem.

This is not a resort or luxurious hotel but it is the best option in Saint Pierre for anyone visiting or overnighting to catch the ferry. The hotel is simple but very clean, comfortable and well located for the ferry or local sight seeing. We stayed one night on our way to Dominica and would do so again.

In 1902 St Pierre was destroyed by the eruption of Mont Pelee and the city which lost 30,000 souls is still rebuilding. This hotel is on the waters edge in the centre of town. The staff are terrifically helpful and do so with charm. The breakfast is excellent and the view west into the bay is delightful particularly at sunset. A tour of the remains of this modern Pompeii is a fascinating insight into the catastrophe.

We wish we could stay more days in this charming butique hotel. After 15days in Martinique so far, I can tell that this hotel is one of the best. Friendly ownerd willing to help all the time, a good breakfast prepared every morning, good price for a room and most important - lovely view from the room. You can hear the waves to your bed :) St. Pierre is one of the best time in Martinique so if you just started planning your holiday, spend here at least 2 or 3 days, you will not regret :)

My husband and I started our 12-day vacation in Martinique with a four night stay at this charming little hotel which we discovered in our guide book. There is plenty to do and see in and around St. Pierre, the former capitol of Martinique, but the highlight for us was our very comfortable room overlooking the black sand beach and bay, AND the superb service and TLC offered by Andre and Marise, the couple who own and run the hotel.

Arriving after dark by car, we had some difficulty locating the hotel and found to our dismay that the local restaurants were closed. But, Marise came to our rescue and personally pled our case to a nice outdoor restaurant down the beach where another table was set up, and we were served a nice supper.

We highly recommend asking for a room facing the water. Unassuming from the outside, the room was very clean and tastefully decorated with furniture designed by the owners and crafted of wood in Martinique. The bed was very comfortable. The restaurant is not currently open to the public while construction is down outside, but as hotel guests we were able to reserve a table and enjoyed the quite sophisticated and delectable French cuisine prepared and served by Andre.

The hotel is perfectly located, walking distance to most everything in the town.

Our highest recommendation!!!

All in all, a level of service and friendliness that we are not accustomed to in the USA.
