Stayed in the hotel for two days, we were really impressed by quality of rooms and amazing view. There is an surf school nearby which is very convenient. We also took a hiking route close to the hotel which was perfect.

We stayed a few nights at this hotel and were truly dissapointed. The service is nonexistant and we payed over 150€ per night for a room that reminded me of school trips somewhere in the woods. The internet was not working and our room was smelly and full of bugs. There is no Bar, no Restaurant - nothing you would expect from a hotel. It is more like a hostel with high prices.

Nice smallish room with a very good sized balcony/kitchen/eating area. Everything we needed to cook, a rather large sized fridge and a great view. Lots of steps to deal with but that is just the geography of Martinique.
My wife and I spent six days here and we still had a few things on our list we didn't get to Next to a national park with some spectacular hiking trails, a three minute walk to a beautiful beach (best swim entry is all the the way to the left or south end of the beach)
Great bakery in town opens around 6 am close 6 pm ,highly recommended.

Booked on Expedia.
Foresight to contact hotel a week before trip. They had never heard of us.
Expedia ghosted us, wouldn't help. I called hotel directly to arrange.
Please consider downloading an app called maps.me and while at home, zoom in on Martinique, download the map to your phone/IPad/tablet. The most accurate offline maps I've seen. Really helps find hotel.
Parking lot is on top of a hill. Walk down about 10 steps to reception, check in 2:30.
Free coffee, but breakfast 10 euros/day each, for light food. We had 2 rooms. See photos for property map. Room 23 was on lobby level. Room 15 was 5 steps down. Room 15 had queen size bed, and a single bed. Room 23 had a bunk bed in 1 room, and a queen in the other. Units built into a hillside. Pool below the lobby. Walk down more steps, and there is a code gate, opens to a public parking area for beach (surfers beach, part of Anse Bonneville, I believe). Road from hotel parking lot descends to this lot.

Free wifi was good. Loved the kitchen, see photo. Rooms have:microwave, fridge with 2 bottled water, coffee maker with filters, dishes/glasses, salt. Wash bin, trash bin. 2 burner stove, pans. Sink. Tv, AC, wifi. Clothes drying rack, patio table. Bathroom with shower only, and no outlets.

Higher rooms have better beach view.

Pool: no longer open 24/7. Lighted til about 11pm, closes 10:30. No lifeguard. Not heated, can feel cool. 7 chaise lounges, rinse shower.

Wildlife; resident cat, wanders the property, friendly. Small birds visit the patio every morning. They will eat anything they can find left out, including fruit, bananas, crackers, etc. very tame. Crabs, small ( and large!) live in the rocks around the stairs. Tree frogs can be noisy at night. You can hear the surf from each room.

Security: coffee area & front desk locked up about 7 pm until morning. Feels safe here, not many people around in public areas after 8 pm. You have several keys on key ring. The locks are stiff, not real secure. You enter room via patio. Must lock the door to keep constant breeze from blowing it open. We locked door from patio into room while out.

Relaxing stay. You could walk up the road to restaurant Le Phare, which has a bar, patio, maybe 5 min walk. Bring groceries from Vito gas station market in Tartane (5 min drive) or other food. Bring coffee, microwave popcorn. Bring hair dryer & shampoo if needed. You could bring something to secure the patio door, or grab a rock off the hillside to prop it closed.smoking allowed on patios. Not good for wheelchairs due to all the steps.
Message me for any other info.

Room tip: Better views on higher floors, near parking. See room map in photos.

These are the positives. This place is more like an apartment complex than a hotel. It offers many positives and a few negatives. Our room for a week had a kitchenette on a balcony, overlooking an incredibly beautiful view of green hills, orange cliffs and turquoise sea in cove with constant crashing waves. We could eat lunch and dinner on the balcony, facing that beautiful view. We took the generous continental breakfasts, at an extra cost of 10 euros p.p. per day. Well worth it, although the coffee was bad. We were glad to cook most of our own meals, with food that we bought in the huge Carrefour grocery store in nearby Trinite’ (15 minutes away). Any food that we could buy in Paris was there. The residence is built on three floors along a steep hillside. My wife has difficulty walking up stairs, so we asked for a room that was easily accessible (meaning at the top of the hill and next to the breakfast place & reception desk). A pool was situated on the middle level. All the personnel were particularly friendly and helpful. A young woman manager spoke English, to help guests who did not speak French.
These are the negatives. The residence is at the end of a dangerous, sharply curving road, which was pitch black at night. It was scary for senior citizens like us, although young people might not worry about it. That is one reason that we preferred to cook our own dinners. The beach at the bottom of the hill was really one for surfboarders, with a slim stretch of sand and powerful waves. (We could hear the waves crashing ashore all night!) One inconvenience was that our bedroom was very tight, in part because it was set up with a second, separate bedroom with bunk beds for children. However, I was able to see other rooms at a lower level that were much bigger and set up differently, with a roll-out bed for children. Our room had a very narrow bathroom, with a tiny corner shower, having a broken, floppy showerhead.
Our bottom line. This place is lovely, inexpensive place to stay for a week to use to explore the island.

Room tip: Ask for a larger size room with a roll-out bed.
