Visited this place after my trek. Glad I did as I saw places I visited. Great movie on Sherpa culture, exhibit in their household, and of course history of Everest. Check out.

Well done replica of Sherpa home before, electricity, running water, or modern building materials. A great collection of artifacts. The photo collection next door is a great complement to the Museum.

Even though it was cloudy when I visited the museum, the Tenzing statue was a nice photo op. On clear days, the views are stunning. The museum itselt is small and only takes about 10 minutes to walk through but it has some cool Sherpa items on display.

If you are a climber, you have to stop by this museum and check out the clipping room. Tons of newspaper articles from around the world about the climbing of Everest. Definitely worth the stop and 2 bucks.
