We have a house in Velsao and have passed the Village Inn for the past 3 years but had never stopped to try it. We only wished we had tried it before as it was a wonderful hotel and they had an excellent restaurant with a wide variety of excellent, well cooked food by their very friendly and capable chef called Agnelo. Nothing is too much trouble for him and his brother Peter. In fact, Agnelo has worked on the cruise liners as chef for the Captain and staff for 20 years. In fact we found the whole family, including his wife and 3 daughters very charming indeed. The kitchens are scrupulously clean as is the rest of the hotel and they even have a lovely small, clean swimming pool. In fact we have our own jeep and house and stay in Velsao for 5 months every winter to escape the dreadful weather in England and would now say that the Village Inn is our favourite place to eat around the Velsao area. You can also park your vehicle very easily off the road. We just cannot wait until our next visit again at the beginnings of November.

Room Tip: All rooms are good and the hotel is good value for money with a complimentary breakfast included. Every time we went for an evening meal, all the rooms were occupied

In February we had a rest in Goa. and chose this hotel. And was very pleased with the staff and the kitchen, and service. All true, as written here: very comfortable, clean, convenient and comfortable heat. Our guide for the area became Pele. With him, we too are very lucky! There is next to all: and beach, and Ayurvedic pharmacy Dima, where they make a good massage.Be sure to come back again! so true!

We stayed at the hotel over the new year period with our two older teenage boys and had a great time. The owners and staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble... Ask for just about anything and they managed to obtain it for us as well as taking us to the local ATM when we needed to go. The rooms are fairly basic but with everything you really need - one had fridge and one didn't. Both our rooms had great AC as well as fans and TV. Showers had continuous hot water and the whole place is immaculately clean. We had pool/garden views and lovely balconies to sip our G&T's on in the late afternoons. The pool is small but adequate for cooling off in with plenty of sunchairs. The hotel restaurant serves excellent, well cooked food - all the food we ate there (both international and Goan) was superb. Their Goan prawn curry made with coconut was one of our favourites along with great tandoori chicken. The beach is less than 10 mins stroll away and is a small paradise with 3 good shacks to chill out at. All in all, we would highly recommend the hotel and will definitely book here when returning to Goa.
