Its not easy to find a descend fish restaurant far away from the sea, but this one is an exemption. Fresh daily catch can be found there, and all dishes are well cooked and prepared. If the price was not so expensive, I would give all 5 dots.

We had marinated sardines, very delicious mushrooms and a grilled filet of grouper. All very good and very little salt. Far better to let customers add more salt if they want it. The cost was a mere 31 euros with water, bread, free desert and free coffee - perhaps just at lunch time. Almost uniquely a restaurant which is open at 12:00. Most open for lunch at 1:30 and are not really running till 2:00 in the afternoon. This is too late for me. I enjoy eating lunch at 12:00 or 1:00. The waitress was extremely helpful, showing us the menu in English with photos on an ipad. The fresh fish is by the kilo, and the waitress showed up the filet before it was cooked. Our 300 g grouper filet was euros 16.50.

Absolutely lovely starter and main course!
Had the marinated anchovies for starters - full of flavour.
The prawns Saganaki were also very tasty, although there could have been more prawns.
These two dishes with a small caraffe of white wine worked out at €20.

Family reunion at Ta Kalamia, George and his crew accommodated about 50 of us and we all enjoyed the experience. We had the psarosoupa (fish stew), mpakaliarakia (fried cod), kalamarakia (fried squid), taramosalata (fish roe dip) and melitzanosalata eggplant dip), xorta (boiled greens) and the house wine. The food was delicious and the service impeccable! Strongly recommended!

If you like see food, or if you had enough of souvlaki you should visit this fish restaurant in area of Maroussi. I like the decoration and the atmosphere of a Greek island, while I enjoy nicely cooked fish plates and other Greek meze options.
Prices are reasonable, parking around could be an issue.
