The resort had nice riverview. But the rooms were small which was a little disappointing. Also, the in-house chef, Masala was very cordial and was ready to try our suggested recipes. I would refer this beautiful resort to everyone I know if they upgrade their infrastructure a bit.The staff was excellent. Special mention to Sonam and Poonam.
Thanks

Kichu resort in Wangdue is an awesome place to relax and let your hair down. It is adjacent to a thundering river with balconies overlooking it. The rooms are small but very cozy. The geyser is able to warm the water fast and hot shower was not an issue. Food ordered tasted good.
Overall a great experience especially because you are nestled right in the lap of nature.

Although the resort is far from Punakha district but woth travelling. The rooms are little small & washrooms are old than expected but the river flowing just below ur balcony ,the other side has hill give total privacy & different experience. They serve tasty Vegetarian food but till 9pm.

Stayed in Kichu resorts in Paro and thought this property too will have same standards. Mr Subha (PRO) booked the property for us and said all their properties in Bhutan have same rates but on seeing the property, I was very much disappointed. It can no way be compared to its property in Paro. The rooms are very small. Seems like the food is vegetarian and as I went in off-season, even that wasn't available for dinner. Only plus point is its location as it is close to a river. But most properties in Wangdue are located in river bed. Would have given 4 stars if the rate was between 2.5 to 3k with taxes.

The hotel is set in attractive grounds by a fast flowing, noisy, but soothing river. The rooms are good size, beds very comfortable.
Food was excellent. A vegetarian hotel the dinner was girly standard affair but included okra and very good potato salad. Breakfast was too much..fried eggs, cereal, pancakes, toast and fruit.
To minor gripes were with having to switch boiler on 30 mins before a shower for hot water and the dessert served on the first night which was imported from India and came from a tin when there was an abundance of fresh fruit for breakfast.
