Very nice hotel with superb location with beachfront! Cozy style with nautical theme, love it. We were very enjoy as it is super near to the beach, its cleanness, great customer services, foods. It is recommended for everyone to be here and also to surf as there are many surf school and it was so much fun and have such an activity in front of your accommodation, you can just take some steps back from the beach to your room. We will be there again for sure!

My wife and I recently checked into the Boathouse at Kata for a mini break.
The hotel is located adjacent to the beach and in consequence the fabulous vista is immediately apparent.
Having dealt with the check-in formality which was conducted by friendly and efficient reception staff we were shown to our room which overlooked the pool and beach. Our room which was an ocean view suit was very comfortable and provided many amenities which was perfect for our needs.
The hotel has been long renowned for its kitchen and in this regard executive chef Jonathan Bruell continues the tradition of outstanding cuisine.
On One of our nights Jonathan prepared an eight course tasting menu for us that was absolutely delicious through out. Amongst the dishes were Homok accompanied with rock lobster cooked in a seafood bisque flavoured with Tom Yam spices, one of the best dishes I have ever tasted.
Through out our stay the staff could not do any more to make our stay a wonderful experience and the General Manager Eric Weber was always on hand to ensure you felt like one of the family.
I can’t praise The Boathouse too highly and would recommend it to anyone for a stay. My wife and I will certainly ensure we visit again

Very good service, friendly staff, clean and beautiful rooms. Very tasty food, beach front hotel can see sunset. I was impressed the general manager was polite and carried my luggage to our car when checking out.

I stayed at the Boathouse for 4 nights in February 2021 based upon a recommendation from a friend. Absolutely loved the hotel which is superbly managed. Enjoyed it so much that I returned for a further four nights in March. I booked their Staycation package for both visits - it appeared to be such a good deal and proved to be so. This gives a food and drink allowance each day so I had most meals in the hotel. It includes the choice of decent bottles of wine at a very reasonable price. The food is excellent. I was there for Velentine's Day on my first trip and really admired the efforts they made to create a wonderful atmosphere for couples at dinner in the restaurant which overlooks the beach. Local expats chearly know about The Boathouse restaurant as every table was taken. Just sad that I was the only solo diner! The rooms are very well appointed and, for me, the beds very comfortable. Any small request i had was immediately acted upon without question. The hotel has less than 50 rooms so is really a little gem compared with some of the mega-resorts in Phuket. I used the well-appointed gym daily and enjoyed a swim in the pool afterwards. Also walked the length of Kata and Karon beaches each day which was wonderful exercise. Sadly (for the hotel owners and staff) there were very few guests when I stayed but hopefully that will pick up for them. So following two memorable stays at The Boathouse I must give it my highest recommendation. I'll be back!
