Went to a traditional Thai restaurant that was featured in TripAdvisor as a very good Thai restaurant last night and left disappointed that their food is overrated and expensive even by Singapore standards.

Having worked in Trang years ago and being a resident in Singapore where Thai food is very accessible, I found this little restaurant a better choice than most in Phuket. Food is inexpensive and it's meant for the locals so it authentic Thai food.

They have 3 tables so if you are in a big group or you are hungry, go somewhere else. The only person who takes your order, cooks and serves you is the owner. Herbs from her garden is used for cooking your meals.

This is well worth finding. Authentic and incredible Thai food cooked by one Thai lady. Don't be deceived by the shops look, the food is simply delicious and some of the best we ate in the 2 weeks we spent traveling around Phuket. Couldn't recommend any higher!!!

Excellent authentic Thai food and cheap!! We had 3 dishes @ around 60-100 Baht each and were amazed at how quick she cooked it considering it was only her in the kitchen. Definitely recommend this!

After a week of struggling to find that elusive authentic & inexpensive Thai meal we were recommended to try Home.
Home is situated in a small soi opposite Seven11. 'A' is the cook, host, serving girl & chief dish washer!
Food is made fresh whilst you wait with herbs from the garden next to the kitchen.
Prawn Yellow curry, morning glory & fried rice seafood was delicious & only 150THB.
Will we be back? Tomorrow for sure!

We ate lunch at this hidden local place one rainy day in July. The place is run by a local lady and she is the only one working there. The place was clean and cosy and you can get the drinks from the fridge by yourself. The food was so delicious and tasty and even better than fancy resturant around kata beach.

We took 2 spring rolls , some chicken dish with rice, omelet filled with meat and a meat spicy salad and 2 local drinks. We only paid 400 baht (~10 euro )
