Get a pool access room - away from the main area and a lovely indulgence! Stayed for 7 nights in what was obviously Low Season - only 2 of the five blocks seemed to be occupied. Low key, well located hotel with access to everything Thai without the hourds of tourists and 'tackyness' of Patong. Pool was great for kids - occupied themselves on the slide for hours and pleanty of loungers. Spa massage same prices as poolside (300 bht) - great value. Only criticism was the poolside bars looked like they'd been shut down even though there was poolside service. Reception staff lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was sufficient - eggs to order, one cereal, pancakes/waffles,juice and fruit. We asked the staff for bacon and cheese etc and it was produced immediately on request for no extra cost. Popped down the road for lunch and dinner (approx 120bht per dish) at local eateries and strolled along the beach to the expected bargain bonanza shopping in Karon (turn left at the beach). Used internet in tour office for 1 Bht per minute just next door to resort. Paid 130 - 150 bht for T shirts 220-250 for board shorts at local stalls. Icecreams on way home from lunch for the kids (10 bht)and banana pancakes after dinner (40 bht) all made it very affordable!

Travelled with friends who had stayed here before and on their recommendation got a poolside room. Well worth the extra cost of upgrading. This pool made our holiday. You stepped out the sliding doors onto a small deck (two chairs and table) and then into the pool. The pool ran the full lenght of the block of rooms. Depth varied between 1.25m to 1.45m at the far end where it had a spa area and then went over rocks and over a waterfall into the main pool.

Really enjoe dthe fact it was low season and there wasn't many guests. Not problems with getting sun loungers etc that others have reported.

Yes the mattresses are hard however not as hard as I thought they would be. You are able to get a topper pad if needed.

The hotel is currently renovating rooms which we had a chance to see. They look amazing.

I found the staff to be very accommodating and happy in their jobs.

Liked the fact that there was a small shopping area with general store, restaurants, bars and clothes cross the road where you could get most things you required.

If back in Phuket I would stay here again.

Thanks to Philip and his team for making our stay enjoyable.

This hotel is extremely over-rated. The pictures on the website look great and upon our arrival I was initially impressed, but from there it was all downhill. The staff do not speak english very well at all and stumble for the most basic requests. It seems like they are simply performing their duties on auto pilot without any care for guests needs.
Our room was on the second floor. The hallways were dark and dingy and our room was not much better. It was a very basic room with no extra facilities what so ever. The bathroom was run down and the taps in both the basin and shower did not spray properly. There was mould on the tiles as well. Very disgusting! Within 20 minutes of having the less than sufficient air conditioner running, it started leaking and dripping water onto the floor.
We cancelled our 5 night booking after the first night, and found much better value for money. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. ...........

Best hotel I've ever stayed at! Lovely poolside with extremely friendly staff. It was like living in a botanical garden with orchids everywhere. Some rooms had access to the pool but unfortunately not for families with children under twelve. They had one big restaurant where breadkfast was cooked and served while waiting. In the evening you could either have buffé or á la carte in the same restaurant. During the day another foodplace served thai dishes and if you felt like having some chips you could order by the childrens poolside. Children had their own pool with a waterslide. In the pool you could swim around the whole hotel garden. There also was a spa. You could get massage or style your hair.
If you felt ill there was even a doctor i the hotel.

The service of staff was excellent, the room was average, location was nice but have subsequently sourced better while there and amenties were in line with other resorts/hotels.
In revisiting Thailand after over 15 years, the Thai culture and people in "general" are beautiful and well worth experiencing, however it is becomining so commercialized and slightly detracts from the naturalness.
The only real negatives experienced this time are you need to do your homework properly before departing to ensure you receive value for money, as once in Thailand there are so many options readily available at excellent rates. Finally, the same applies to your shopping while there, as you can easily be deceived by vendors if you are not prudent enough. However, in saying that, so many things are still great value for money and well worth the bartering way of life.
