I want to be clear... This is NOT a four star hotel.... Not by western standards, anyhow.
And it isn't a B&B... That second B stands for breakfast, and there is none.
It IS, however, a delightful little hotel that has just finished a major renovation, and shines brightly in the heart of Phuket Town. Very close to anything you would need for your vacation, I found myself checking in for a night because of a power outage, and staying for a week because I liked it so much! My room was about $30 USD/ night, and I think that is a deal. I also worked from here for a week, and found the wifi to be strong and fast. The staff was English proficient... More so than I expected, and eager to please. The fit and finish of the building appeared to be above typical Thai, but time will tell.
Room security could be an issue, since they use keys instead of magnetic cards.
The shiny chairs in the lobby look like medieval torture impliments, but turned out to be ridiculously comfortable, so I recommend having a coffee there in the morning before you start your day... Or walk down to Gallery cafe or Cafelicious for breakfast.
Overall, a great value at $30, and probably still worth it if you pay twice that.More
