We chose this pub for lunch. Very nice for the middle of nowhere. 11 people Inc children. Big garden with play area and room to play football if you take one. Outdoor decked area for food too. We had a variety of meals, some had just starters some toasted sandwiches and others mains. All really nice and they had a gf menu too. The bill was under £100 So not badly priced either. Very nice server and good atmosphere

We just love this place! Our Airbnb host recommended this pub to us and we were pleasantly surprised. Not only is it situated in a beautiful little village the food is great! I would recommend the very flavoursome lamb kofte for starters. The food is of high quality and the service is friendly and fast. We sat in the garden which is dog and kid friendly. Would recommend this place for anyone!

We came here on a recommendation and unfortunately left very unsatisfied. Unfortunately the service is painful. We ordered drinks at the bar and said we had a table, the barmaid said just let me serve this man and I’ll get the girls to take you to your table....fair enough if we didn’t then stand there for five minutes whilst she served everyone at the bar and we had to go and find a waitress to help.
Finding our table, dodging the unhygienic dogs wandering around the bar area, we then waited a long time for our order to be taken...when it was the food took a good half hour to come out and the burgers we had were very bland and chips over cooked. We then waited just too long for any waitress to come back and clear and take a dessert order so we gave up. Where are they I hear you ask....on an elastic back to the two screens area where they stand with their backs to everyone waiting to be summonsed over then rush back to hide rather than being attentive to customers. It was getting busy but that didn’t spark any energy.
Beer was nice but the service was so poor we won’t come again sadly.

Approximately an hours wait for starters. The food was ok when it came. Kids were impressed with the garden.

Thank you The Crown for a lovely Sunday lunch complete with a candle in my pudding.

The food was delicious, the service couldn’t be faulted and the setting spot on.
