Description: A stunning 17th Century unspoilt Cotswold stone inn that has been independently owned for a decade by proper publicans. This pub was named 'Escape of the Year 2016 by GreenTraveller and is ranked as in the Top Ten pubs by The Telegraph newspaper. It has held 2 AA rosettes for food for six consecutive years and also won the CAMRA North Cotswold Pub of the Year Award three times (and been runner-up 4 times). There is no more beautiful setting from which to explore the Cotswold villages and nearby historic Stratford Upon Avon. There are 5 ensuite letting bedrooms that have all been refurbished to a high standard, many with rolltop baths (rated 4 stars) and each has a gorgeous countryside views of rolling hills, thatched cottages. The pub overlooks the village green and inside there are roaring fires, flagstone floors, beamed ceilings, home brewed ales and a warm welcome. Although off the beaten track, this hidden gem, once discovered, welcomes back customers time and time again. The way an unspoilt English pub should be and at The Ebrington Arms we have been welcoming travellers and locals across our flagstone floors for nearly 400 years. The pub oozes character with roaring open fires in the Winter and gorgeous countryside views and walks but the welcome remains the same for tourists and locals alike, a friendly relaxed atmosphere with some of the best food and rooms the Cotswolds has to offer.

Having seen that it had been voted best pub in England, my husband and I went to The Ebrington Arms for lunch on my birthday. It did not disappoint. We both enjoyed hake as a main, then different puddings. We ate in the bar and I was pleased to see that locals came in for a drink. The décor is traditional, which I like, the service quick and the staff very friendly. Not being a beer drinker, I enjoyed a glass of the Tenbury cider.

Had the weather had been warmer, we would have sat in the garden, but I did notice that the seating was picnic benches, with no backs, which I find uncomfortable. Soniaandhenry

Stopped for lunch and wish we hadn't. Some of the staff are friendly others not so much - verging on the point of rudeness. Would not return. Greasy food and staff didn't care when we complained.

They seem to be trading on the fact they were voted number one inn 2 years ago according to a chalk board at the front of the property. Shame they haven't maintained the standards then if that's the case.

There are far better places to eat nearby.

We love this pub and its food - I have put glowing reports in before, but were disappointed with our meal on Saturday. The menu is small - I get that as everything is freshly cooked, the soups are something else and the fish and chips to die for, but for a change I ordered prawn cocktail - this was a deconstructed project that didn't quite work and the pork which was tough and completely without flavour. We also had to wait half an hour for our first drinks despite reminding the waitresses on two occasions, judging by other tables we were not alone in terms of issues on the menu and service. This wont stop us going we normally have great food and service but this was not up to the normal standards.

Situated in a quaint little village, the only problem eating here can be finding somewhere to park. There are a few spaces in the pub car park but mostly you need to find somewhere on the road that doesn't block access to homes.
The Ebrington Arms is an historic building with many features of note. We went for dinner and there is a good selection of dishes on the menu. Service is very professional and friendly and there's no rush to order your food. Once ordered you don't have to wait too long for your meal to arrive and the food is well presented and delicious.
With a drink beforehand and a glass of wine with the meal, we paid in the region of £140 for two courses for four people.
There is a relaxing atmosphere and although it was very busy when we were there, we had an enjoyable evening. If you're a tempetd to go, best to book a table in advance particularly during the peak season and at weekends.

Good value Sunday Lunch with 2 courses at £22. We both had the roast beef and it was very tasty. We managed to sit at the table by the window that overlooks the front of the pub - a lovely spot. We heard some friendly banter between the bar man and some of the locals which made us chuckle. Service was not as attentive as I'd hoped but overall a nice Sunday afternoon outing.
