A very nice place to engage in a leisurely walk in the water, through the woods and a nice bath in the cold running water. A wonderful experience overall.

This place is on an island .Some 30-45 min distance from Kalpetta and good when you have ample time as you have to walk enough to reach this place. Nice island views around and ideal for a day's visit.

The place will open around 9.30pm only, no need to hurry in the morning. Forest guard will do a routine check in the island before letting the visitors in as a precaution against wild animals mainly elephants. literally spent more than 1 hr waiting for the ticket counter to open. A short bamboo raft ride will take you to the island from mainland. If you love nature and its beauty this place is for you. Lush green forest along with morning fog place is a paradise for photographers. Small trek will take you to a stream where you will end your journey. I heard about few other islands connected to this when asked about that guards informed due to some drowning accidents entry to other small islands are banned by forest department, it’s sad.
