A group of us stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. It was off season so we had the hotel almost to ourselves. Check in was easy. The rooms are all a bit different. Huge with sitting areas and outside access. Our room looked out toward the medieval town on the hill nearby where Picasso was known to have friends and stayed for a summer. Modern bathrooms. Indoor heated swimming pool surrounded by glass looks out over an deck with beautiful scenery. A game room/library can be enjoyed. The dinners served at the hotel were top notch. The female chef was trained in barcelona and knows her stuff. Breakfast each morning was sufficient with meats/cheeses/yogurt/cereal. The kitchen made us picnic lunches of our choice for our hikes. The staff is lovely and will make you lattes when asked. It is family owned. Very upscale hotel for the area. We had no complaints

Room Tip: rooms looking out towards the town were great.

We stayed for a night taking advantage of a mid-week offer with dinner, bed and breakfast. We were greeted by a very kind and discreet member of staff who showed us to our room and mentioned cava was in the fridge (nice touch!) The room was spacious and had a big terrace with lovely views; the bathroom with jacuzzi was really big and with nice toiletries, bathrobes and slippers provided. It is a very relaxed environment and we felt really at ease in spite of not being used to this kind of luxuries.
There is also a swimming pool which is meant to be heated but was really cold when we were there – that was our only disappointment.
Dinner was fantastic; we got a “menu degustacio” which consists of several half-portion dishes including starters, fish and meat; all really tasty and well presented. Breakfast was also really good with help-yourself sweet and savoury options.
If you get the mid-week offers it is really good value for money. We’ll go back.
