Togean Journey headed by the enthusiastic Mr. Owan, is the perfect guide for you trip in an around Togian/Togean Islands, Gorontalo & Ampana.

I travelled with Togean Journey, and in our "Journey" we crossed the Tomini Gulf and the equator.

As i was travelling alone, i decided to employ Togean Journey's services. Due to the flexible nature of a private trip. I got to enjoy numerous breathtaking locations with little to no tourists around.

Mr. Owan is a very capable photographer and knows the angles and spots to help me capture these priceless moments. He just bought a phantom 4 pro to boot (Too bad i didnt get a chance to play with it as it was delivered to him during our trip)

Rather than explaining how awesome the trip was, i would like to point out a few situations where i felt that Togean Journey deserves a 5 star.

- There are not many tour operators yet in this region (i hope it stays that way) and arranging the modes of transport and accomodation can be a hassle. Togean Journey has a wide array of accomodation and destinationa to pick from. Therefore you can customize your trip as much as you'd like.

- Mr. Owan is a very capable photographer and knows the angles and spots to help me capture these priceless moments. He just bought a phantom 4 pro to boot (Too bad i didnt get a chance to play with it as it was delivered to him during our trip)

- Compared with the other boats operating in the area. The boat he uses and the boat captain (Mr. Buche) is top notch. The engine is not too loud, and Mr. Buche is always there to make sure that the journey is safe and fun

- Mr. Owan is very knowlegdeable about the stories and facts to the places you visit. He speaks good English as well. I can see why he is well known in the region. During my diving trip in Sanctum Una Una, my cellphone suddenly was not operable. All the hotel and flight bookings were saved in my cellphone. As i had Mr. Owan arrange a hotel in Ampana for me, i didnt care to save these information. Lucikly on my last night in Una Una, i met some top class folks who was working for Indonesia's national parks. They were shooting some footage there. Lucikly one of the people there (Mr. Fadly) knows Mr. Owan and has his no. Long short. The national park crew took in a hitchhiker straight to Ampana the next day. Giving me extra time to free dive with the school of barracudas. Not long after i reached my hotel in Ampana. Mr. Owan surprised me with a visit and gave me his brand new phone to use. I happily accepted his offer and was connected to the virtual world after 4 days without it.

This kind of service is not birthed by motivation of money or glory. Togean Journey is motivated by having their customers come as STRANGERS and leave as FRIENDS.

People say: "It's not about the destination but, its about ther journey." With Togean Journey it couldn't be more true.

Big thanks to Togean Journey, Mr. Owan, Mr. Buche, The National Park Crew, and Mr. Fadly for making this journey an unforgettable one for me. See you on the next adventure fellas

P.S. If you are a big seafood fan like me. 1 kg of lobsters can be bought for Rp. 300,000 ($21), Crab for Rp. 150.000 ($15.5) and others. You have to tell to Mr. Owan beforehand as the seafood are sold in markets and are not readily available on the resort. On the other hand, there is no cooking fee :)
