Groupon deals vary a lot, and frequently you find on arrival that the menu's so restricted that you wish you hadn't bothered.
That certainly wasn't the case here, and there was a wide choice - including one of my favourites, whitebait, as a starter. Marinated olives were also available, and a generous portion (as with the whitebait) was served to my wife.
There was a good choice of mains too, and the choice of puddings instead of starters was also offered as part of the Groupon package.
The service was friendly and efficient (with checkbacks to see if everything was OK) and we left feeling that this was a place we hadn't tried before, but would certainly return to.
I was impressed with the lunch, and with the way the Groupon deal had been handled. All credit to the management, the chef, and the server.
