Why is everything in Denmark so overpriced for so litte Quality??

60s era gloomy interior with obviously no upgrade since then except for a couple of shower gel
dispenser in bahtroom? WOW that s really impressive.

the quality of the bedding is so la la (the pillows must have seen THOUSANDS of customers).
the shower will flood the whole bathroom when in use...
Asolutely disgusting: remote control of Tv (that didn t work anyway).
a room of this Kind would only be worth 30 euro anywhere else, certainly not 115 euro as here!

Food is lowest Level, the coffee is absolutely disgusting (water wtih creamy feeling? uuuugh), the breakfast ist lowest Level.

obviously popular with old Age People who cherish the good old times. (actually the rather bad old times...)

don t go there unless you have no other choice!

Very charming old inn. Great service and very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The restaurant offers great food at reasonable prices. Of course there are room for improvement. The rooms could need a modernisation, but as they are they give great value for the money. Very good wifi in the rooms.

Location appr. 3 km from Christiansfeld, on what was once the border between Denmark and Prussia/Germany 1864-1920. Historically interesting and quaint inn ("kro"), with lots of space for big celebrations like weddings etc. The rooms are fairly large, and have all the basic necessities, incl. free WiFi, but no luxury like a minibar. The beds were neither too soft nor too hard. The only real letdown for us was the combined receptionist / waitress who served us the first day. She seemed unable to smile, and apparently lacked any knowledge of basic Danish phrases like "tak", "værsågod", "velbekomme", "håber det smager", "det var så lidt" osv. I have never met anyone so impolite in any Danish hotel or restaurant before. Fortunately the friendly Danish waitress who served us the day after, saved the day for us (and for the inn / restaurant, which otherwise would have been rated lower). Breakfast is basic, without any sign of eggs in any shape or form. Food in the restaurant is very good.

Nice old inn (several hundred years old) with nice rooms. Note that you have to ask for a room with a hairdryer if you need one and don't want to bring your own.
A bit disappointing that the room was freezing cold when we arrived - you have to operate the thermostats yourself. We learned from other guests that they also had to do the same. How hard can it be for the hotel to turn the heating on the day of the guests arrival?
The bathroom was functional but had a bit of a sewer smell.
The restaurant is excellent. Really good food and above what we expected. Breakfast is good too - freshly baked bread, high quality cold cuts, cereals etc. It may disappoint you if you're used to pancakes and donuts though...
All in all a nice stay. We would certainly stay there again if we're in the neighborhood.

Room Tip: If you need a hairdryer, ask for a room that has one as not all rooms do.

We wanted to end our 3 weeks tour on the continent with a Danish finale. The room was spacious with comfortable double bed and some terrible paintings om the wall. The bathroom had inadequate lighting and none of the usual amenities ( shampoo, two bath towels,Kleenex), no hairdryer . The soapdispenser contained something with a rather peculiar smell. Free Wi-Fi internet worked flawlessly

The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere. We spent too much time waiting for service.
Dont order the desert which is supposed to contain raspberries.. Strangely enough, in the middle of the Danish strawberry season, fresh berries were not on the menue.

This place has a lot going for it but needs attention to some basic details justify the price they are asking.
