Very spacious rooms

Excellent location. Spacious rooms very good breakfast. They have coffee tea and juice and ice cream and biscuits 24x7 available in the lobby
Very close to thebus station and train station walking 15mts
Night market is walking distance

Not a good stay

Stayed at the Clound, Taichung on December 9th. We got a room on the second floor facing the street. It was very noisy. The glass window and wall between the room are not noise-proof. Breakfast was ok.

Room tip: Try to get higher floor and the room not facing the street.

Clean, comfortable hotel

Made a last minute booking after our disastrous airbnb booking and so glad we did! The rooms are clean, with a comfy bed and bathtub with amenities all provided. Decent wifi, good air conditioning. Our toilet bowl was leaking when we first checked in but we called reception and someone came to fix it promptly and it worked fine after that. Breakfast spread was average, mostly local fare. Only downside is the unfriendly staff - to be fair, they get things done but are quite unwelcoming.

Two nights stay

Chose this hotel mainly because I've booked driver for the 2 days I stay in Taichung.
Took the deluxe family room with bathtub and shower. Need to walk abt 20min to yichong area so probably stay nearer to Xitun area next time if don't no driver.
Have smell at lift area when check in as it's next to dining area.
One lady serving at morning breakfast area is very polite.
Value for money as it included free breakfast and 24hrs free coffee , small biscuits and ice-cream. There is also tea leaves eggs when I came back hotel around 8-10pm at night . Too bad ve to pay twd150 for every one hour that I'm late for check out (ie. no free late check out and strictly check in only after 5pm.
Taxi from fengjia to hotel is twd230 while taxi from hotel to Taichung high speed rail is twd270.

Overall good for a short stay

Stayed one night during my trip around Taiwan.
The room is comfortable and clean (love this).
The gym is poor with only 2 running machines as I expect to have at least some weights for my work-out.
Breakfast is quite poor especially for foreigner, food is quite oily.
The have free laundry service with extra 10 TWD for detergent at the front desk, it's super convenient for long day traveler like.
