My wife and I stayed here with our children aged 5 and 3 from February 20-22. When we arrived, we got the most nice welcome from the manager Henri. He checked us in, and walked us to our apt C-1 to help us with our bags. We also got a lot of interesting information about the hotel and Kamala Beach.

Our apartment was nice, clean and very spacious.

The cafe has a small but good menu for breakfast and lunch, and food tasted very good! The small and quiet spa was really wonderful with its pool view.

Their English speaking staff is a big asset for Royal Embassy.

The hotel seems larger than it is. With around 50 guests when fully booked, it does not feel crowded at all.

We think that Royal Embassy was a well functioning hotel, with a homely and including atmosphere, that we can really recommend to everyone!

For a very big apt with two bedrooms we paid 5000 THB per night incl. all taxes and breakfast.

Phil, Henri and the staff made our stay magical. Checkin was the easiest I have ever completed. Our2 bedroom poolside apartment was fantastic, our 13 year old son wouldn't stay out of the pool. The food is amazing, we ate nearly all our meals here as value for money and fabulous food was hard to beat anywhere else. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and it has a real family atmosphere with luxury. We really felt like it was a home away from home and their help and advice was beyond normal resort service. We will definitely be back, thank guys, we had an amazing time. Rick, Paula and Seth:)

We stayed at The Royal Embassy at the end of February for a week. There is definitely a wow factor to the place as it is very beautiful and the gardens are superbly kept. The owner Phil ,his wife and the rest of the team make everyone feel very welcome.
We travelled as a group of five adults so at check in were shown to a two bedroom apartment for three people ( on the ground floor , near the pool )and our one bedroom apartment for my husband and I ( c5 first floor ) . All very nicely appointed, and as someone else pointed out, the only minus point are the older style tv's. Very nice size lounge and separate bedroom, huge bathroom. Well equipped kitchen with plenty of crockery etc, but other than snacks we didn't really eat in the apartment, but the full size fridge freezer was usefull for cold drinks.
There are twenty rooms in total with some very nice detached bungalows around the pool, which are very beautifully furnished.
Breakfast wasn't included in the room rate but we had a lovely well cooked breakfast each day in the restaraunt .
The hotel has a new supermarket just opened the week before we got there, a short walk away and the fantastic beach restaraunts are a 15 minute walk away, eating actually on the sand listening to the waves,- what could be nicer??
My husband and I had been to Kamala before , but to a different resort so we new our way around, and also didn't have too many plans other than to relax which we did at this lovely resort, lying around the pool, sitting in the jacuzzi , usually just the five of us ,as with only 20 rooms there was always plenty of space and peace and quiet. There is a small one off charge for the use of a pool towel for the week, but you could always bring your own if you could be bothered to carry them. There is a laundry directly across the road with very reasonable rates if you need any thing laundered.
The young lady who looks after the grounds does a fantastic job and is quite brutal with her pruning shears, but it is a credit to her.
Two of our friends organised scooter hire from reception and were very pleased.
All in all a very nice place to stay , reasonably priced and a very high standard of service from owner Phil his wife and lovely staff.

Room Tip: I think the two bedroom apartments are ground floor, great for people with families. Single bedroom on first floor and bungalows are more like hotels rooms with just a small style fridge and tea/ coffee making facilities, but are very beautifully appointed, great for honeymooners!

Stayed in their 2-bedroom apartment over the weekend of 23-25th March with 3 other girlfriends, and we had an excellent weekend there!

Phil, who is the owner had us checked in in just minutes, and was even thoughtful enough to have the air conditioning turned on before we arrived so that we would step into a cooled-down room!

Of the 2 bedrooms, one was bigger but without a bathroom, and the other is smaller with an attached bathroom. It also came with a fully equipped kitchen (there's even an oven - but over the weekend, where would we find time to use it?), and a comfy living room area.
My favourite part of the apartment was the patio was a table and chairs that we could relax on while enjoying the view of the pool.

Although the main road outside the resort did not have many taxis, getting around was not difficult - Phil volunteered to drive us to the beach for free, twice, and also helped us to call for a cab whenever we needed one. Just down the road (5-10minutes walk) there is the Big -C (grocery store), where you can find all you need. Another 5-10minutes walk in another direction and you would reach the beginning of Kamala beach.
Taking a tuk tuk from the beach back to the resort will cost about THB 200.

Other highlights include the jacuzzi in the pool, having breakfast set up for you on your own patio (and not in the restaurant), and a late checkout at just THB100 per hour after 12pm.
All staff were very friendly and helpful, making it a lovely stay!

location is great , stayed in 1 bedroom unit ,market every wed and sat right behind you, fanta sea close walk for 20 min. owner and staff treat you as a friend not a number, help you book , tours, tuk tuks and good advice. stayed here for 2 weeks started off as 1 but price was good. Now there is construction going on but during day , only thing is the muslim prayer every morning but the whole town hears it. very clean love the staff , restaurant on site if need . short walk to beach. first thing you think is too far from beach, but just try it for a day loved the walk for exercise 10 min and you get to see the shops depending which way you walk. wewould definitely go back very personable also speak english and french thai ,may even be other lang.

Room Tip: ask for bottom floor walk out to the pools, and garden, sit on your deck on all floors very trqnquille in the evening, buy your beer at c store down the road cheap. wine and spirits very expensive buy duty free before come in 900 % mark up beer cheap 42 baht large bottle at 7 11 and c grocery store
