I stayed at Novotel Taipei airport for 2 nights
The hotel is isolated in the middle of the airport grounds, a 10 minute shuttle ride from the terminals.

The hotel and property look brand new. Decoration and amenties are super modern and high tech.

Front desk staff were very friendly. Unlike other reviewers, I did not encounter any language problems.

My room was excellent with many luxury appointments.
Features:
- Very confortable bed with premium linens
- Flat screen TV with (at least) 5 English channels
- Free WiFi
- Control panel to connect laptop to TV - suggest to bring a HDMI and/or VGA cable if you want to do this
- Very soundproof - massively heavy hallway door
- In room safe
- Kettle with tea
- Rain shower nozzle

The fitness facilities (including pools) was one of the best I've seen (very large and comprehensive)

The restaurant (main one) was a disappointment.
(I ate there for 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners)
Although you can order a-la-carte, the buffet is the main theme
During breakfast, there was often only 1 tray of fresh cut fruit and the salad bar was left to empty out....
During dinner, the choices were too limited to heavily sauced items.....again, many trays were very depleted, even at 8pm.

There is nothing around this hotel,,,,no chance to walk to any alternative eating options, so the restaruant quality is very important. This was the only negative about this hotel, so it should be easily corrected.

What I liked:
- The room ambience
- Water temp, pressure, room ventilation
- Sleep comfort and soundproofness
- Cleanliness

To Improve:
- Restaurant buffet quality and selection

Great hotel for an overnight stop or romatic getaway (especially if the restaurant is improved)

Room is great, but the front desk staff are terribly deprived of proper training in assisting elder customer. Even speaking the same language, I found it hard to understand their points. If you're looking for rooms near Taoyuan airport and better view to the airport, I'll recommend City Suites instead of this hotel.

Amazing place to stay on a layover. Would stay there again with out a doubt. Worth paying extra to get the breakfast in AM. Also would reccomend having the hotel agent meet you at gate to show you where shuttle to hotel is . Hotel is very clean and modern, gym and pool facilites are first rate. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

Good hotel to stay if you arrived late at the airport, and wanted a rest before hitting the town or for transit. The free shuttle bus is at the right hand side after airport exit, look for sign express buses boarding area/tour coaches boarding area.

Room is big and nice.
We ate at the 2nd floor chinese restaurant, food average, very big portion.
We booked the shuttle service to taoyuan train for the next day, but it was not recorded and we were missed out even after they said they would accomodate us. But their service is good as they called us a cab and send us immediately.

Overall, a good stay, no problem with room, just had some hiccup with staff communication. Will visit again if it's for rest after late flight.

This is a good hotel if you are stopping over in Taiwan on business. Close to the airport and only 10 minutes by taxi to the high speed train station from where you can easily get to central Taipei, Hsinchu or the south of the island. Hotel is very modern and although close to airport aircraft noise is not a problem. I had King size room at very reasonable rate - spacious and very modern with free internet. The Square restaurant was disappointing. Breakfast buffet was OK, but the buffet lunch was unappetising. The dishes were left out too long and not replaced and the general quality was well below what I would expect of a Novotel. Unfortunately there is little else around the hotel so you are rather stuck for choice. There is a Chinese restaurant and a spa, but I did not try these. I would stay here again because of the location and I hope they improve the food by then.
