for people from modern city, having someone to bring back historical buildings, how they are built, the significance of each architecture, building compound symbolization etc is very enriching. How the ancient people already gained so much knowledge, knowhow, how to build a house, etc is something beyond my comprehension.

it was a very exciting and knowledge trip.

Room tip: Enjoy the surrounding scenic view,

This center was designed as an village with several Si He Yuan residential housing of traditional South Fujian Province architecture. It was well-managed and has been newly renovated recently to accommodate more and more tourists with all sorts of ages and interests.
The best part of this center is its excellent location: just on the end of Kenting street and within the area of Frog Stone Beach Promenade. Therefore, we can easily enjoy the local delicacy and nature beauty without worrying traffic jam or parking.
The beach behind is full of shells and the view is unbeatable.

This hotel has an unbeatable location and great architecture! As you can see from the photos, it is constructed as a traditional courtyard house village, looking very authentic. It is located near the bus stop of the Kenting Express Line (about 5 minute walk) and near the Kenting main street (for street food at night). We had a refurbished room, which was quite adequate with two double beds, a modern bathroom, AC. All the rooms are located in different courtyards, named after families that emigrated from China. We felt like we were in Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragons. There is a walking path along the sea, with a private beach (not for swimming, but with a beautiful view, especially at sunset). While this is not a luxurious hotel, we would not stay anywhere else in Kenting. The entire grounds of the hotel was beautiful.

The centre is situated on a peninsula in the south of Taiwan. It's a great location and the centre is housed in extensive grounds. There is a lovely trail along the coast with interesting rock formations formed by the erosion of old lava flows. The buildings are also interesting and in good condition built in the layout of a traditional Fujian village. The rooms have ensuite bathrooms, small fridges and free wifi. Our rooms were very clean and well kept and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. A delicious buffet breakfast was included.
Just a short walk to local beaches and the colourful and fascinating street life of Kenting, especially at night. It was inexpensive to stay there but I believe often difficult to find a room. It caters mainly for student groups and Taiwanese families but if you are lucky to find rooms we would highly recommend it.

If you are interested in traditional taiwanese culture, this hostel is strongly recommended.
The buildings are well preserved, and not overdecorated. Nice location, right on the bustling Kenting street. Rooms are clean and basic. There's a trail along the beach, where you can saw nice sunset. Delicious traditional breakfast is included. Rooms are popular on weekends, it's better to reserved online.
