The location was good, hence it has a great view of the mountain and lake just outside the window. Room was clean, not too big but the bed was big. The rooms have wooden structure so the sound proof was quite bad (of which the owner did reminded us) You literally can't talk too loud at night since the whole area was really quiet and ppl next your room would hear you without a problem.

Breakfast was simple but I guess that's standard for hotels in that area.

I spent Christmas eve 2015 with my family here recently. The resort itself is located on the lower slopes, some distance from the main attractions of cingjing grassland & Swiss garden. Surrounding area is quite remote and you have to walk down the slope to the nearest cafe Margaret. I did not have my meals there as we already planned our itinerary. Junyi has a beautiful garden at the back. The B&B does provide shuttle rides for its guests but what annoys me is that the frequency is too long. I arrived around 9plus am and the concierge informed me that standard check in timing was 3pm. Hence we decided to do some sightseeing first. The next available transport to the main attraction was at 11 am. Junyi is not a really huge resort with many guests prob around 15 rooms(plus the fact local guests do drive). That's why I felt as a value added service they could accommodate with transport arrangements(for us foreign guests) rather than fix to their standard timing blocks. Nonetheless it was a good stay

We chose to spend a night here after reading some good reviews, as we plan to visit cingjing farm and 合欢山 the next day. The room, beds, amenities and breakfast are very basic, don't expect too much. We had to pay TWD 5000 for a family room with 2 queen beds as it is a weekend. There is a very nice & 3 levels restaurant about 200m down the slope and serves delicious dishes, must have your dinner there. If you need dinner at JunYi you will need to order one day in advance but I honestly don't think it's good judging from its breakfast.
There are many more better hotels further up cingjing and more happening. I understand there isn't much postings in this area to help tourists to plan where to stay.

Junyi is located at a small Hill with a paranomic view. Although it is relatively further from the green green grasslands and little Swiss garden, distance is not a really a problem- the friendly and down to earth staff will shuttle you at your preferred timings to the attractions which is merely a 10 min drive! The room was clean and simple -it felt like home. Down to basics but has everything you need.. Including that small balcony to star watch! However, it will be great if they have a small heater for the winters, although I understand that they might not be of use during the summer periods.

Also, the staff are genuine and passionate without any sugar coated courtesy. During one of the shuttle rides, we decided to give a small tip to the driver as he was generous with useful information. To our surprise, he politely declined.

Breakfast was like the resort- simple yet homely. Sweet Potato porridge with a wide variety of vegetables and other sides.

If you are looking for a Cosy retreat among the city hustling life, look no further. Choose junyi!

My family and I, total 3 persons spending two nights at this beautiful place. A+ for the environment, hygiene, the garden, the view, the surrounding, the staff and the dinner. The dinner is very yummy. The staff is very helpful to provide information for us to move around. It could be better if they can provide the taxi info, on top of the current one.

The cleanliness is unbeatable! Everybody fell in love with the environment. We went out to the Qing Qing Grassland @9am, walk around and decided to come back in the afternoon to spend a relax time at the garden to enjoy the sun set. Love the flowers.

On the second night, the sky was so clear that you can see the starry night after the garden night is off.

Room tip: Room on 2/F have a better view on the lake.
