Our overall one night stay in Misty Villa were not too good. The room were very spacious and the host were very friendly, helpful and hospitable. However, the water temperature is not consistent. All 4 of us had a hard time showering as the water is either too hot or too cold. We ended up shivering at the end of our showers and it was below 10 degrees that night. Breakfast was not fantastic.

Had a wonderful 2n stay at Misty Villa. After shared shuttle transfer to the villa, walked up a slope (tiring with luggage), but was greeted warmly by the lady boss! She told us to sit down and take a rest first, and there's selection of coffee, tea or ginger tea for us, and biscuits too! After that she explained to us the location of the villa and the places nearby to visit. A must visit will be the Green green grassland for the sheep shearing and horse show! As the sky is getting dark, we decided to take a rest and just explore the small Swiss garden area just opposite the hotel for the night, as we booked the Hehuanshan sunrise tour for next morning.
Had their dinner on second night.
Overall a very nice place to stay, will definitely stay again if I'm visiting cingjing again, and will sure recommend to others!

We stayed in the area twice before but on both occasions in the next door hotel, the large Qing Jing Guest House, which is a little cheaper but we found our stay in this hotel nicer because it was a lot smaller and more personal. It is a "boutique hotel", the decoration when you enter is lovely, full of soft toys. The owner is very friendly and speaks good English. Misty Villa is situated on a hill, so it's pretty steep everywhere. For people who can't climb a lot of stairs, this is not the place to be. But then again, you are in the mountains, so a few stairs shouldn't actually be a problem. We booked breakfast and dinner, both were good, especially the dinner. For breakfast they have a buffet, for dinner it's a fixed menu, no choice but very tasty, The rooms are large and well decorated. More towards "basic" than "luxury" but all done very nicely. My in-laws stayed on the first floor, we were on the top (room 312), so we had to climb most.
When we go back for mountain hiking, Misty Villa will definitively be our first choice.

Room tip: Ask for a room with a view, there are some where you see nothing, others have a great view.

Misty Villa is one of the nearest mingsu to the Cingjing town centre where you could find restaurants, 7-11 and Starbucks, as such, it is not an overstatement to say that it is one of the most popular mingsu in Cingjing.

Besides it’s proximity to the town centre, there are a few other reasons leading to its popularity.

The host of the mingsu, Nita is hospitable and took her time to go through with us the places of interest that we could visit. She also helps to make arrangement for taxi ride. Our luggage are carried to the room by their staff and saved us the effort to lug them up while climbing the stairs to the room.

The mingsu has altogether 3 buildings. The lobby or main living room of the mingsu is located in the ground floor of the main building. It is spacious and well decorated, giving you a warm feeling when you first step into it.

The second floor of the main building is the restaurant while the third floor are where the rooms of the main building are. The bulk of the rooms are in the other two other buildings higher up the slope but within the same compound.

We stayed at Room #100 of the main building and it is adequately equipped with a good amount of space. There is also a balcony which allows us to view the mountains far away and to catch the sunrise. There is also a heater in the room but we did not utilise it as the temperature even at night is still manageable.

The only con of the mingsu was the bed which was way too soft for our comfort.

The breakfast at the mingsu appeared to repeat itself during our 2 nights’ stay but this was fine with us since our stays was 2 nights only. However, if it was a longer stay, that might be an issue. We had a steamboat dinner at the mingsu during our first night and it is really enjoyable to have a hot steamboat in the cold weather.

Should we visit Cingjing again, this will be one of our top consideration.
